FIFA schedules are ridiculous,il miss Italy vs Spain and England vs Holland because Brazil vs Germany airs at the same time.

Don't worry, Abate won't be there.

When is this game?
Looks like a solid lineup De Sanctis deserves it and Balotelli is there.

The Nocerino call-up is a bit surprising.

Abbiati deserved it more, or even Storari if you ask me.

Well storari doesnt get enough action (not sexually) needed for a call up, and Abbiati does deserve it as well but you can't complain about de sanctis it's not as if he's another Marchetti. Im also not upset about no Quag given his circumstances.

All of the Juve call-ups are reasonable. It would be nice to have a forward from Juve on the national team, which is one of the many reasons it would have been nice to sign Rossi. Hopefully, Matri and Quags can prove their worth to the Azzurri.

What, the wonderkid Abate wasn't called up? Somebody should shoot Prandelli now, he obviously doesn't know how to evaluate talent...

That striker line is stacked.
Still waiting for Pazzini to actually show up for a national team game, has not impressed me at all in contrast to his amazing domestic league form.
Too many registas.
What is the formation?
Something narrow?

Prandelli usually plays a 4-3-3 but has been trying a 4-3-1-2 with Cassano as the TQ. I would speculate that he will play a 4-3-1-2 as follows:
Maggio...Ranocchia...Chiellini...Balzaretti
Montolivo...Pirlo...De Rossi
Cassano
Pazzini...Rossi
That would be my guess, maybe Motta in for Montolivo...

Yeah I envisioned a similar group of players.
It isn't a bad team, I hope Giovinco gets some time on the field

Well you should tell that to the Milanistas then, because according to them Abate is the next Zambrotta. Unfortunately, Prandelli hasn't quite figured this out yet...

The last game Giovinco subbed for Cassano, so hopefully Prandelli does that again, I would like to see Giovinco and Rossi play together.

They did against Germany
Giovinco as the TQ
Rossi as the SS
Balotelli as the CF
Young attack

Yes, that is our future attack. Maybe he can play them all together against Spain. If everything goes according to plan, that may very well be our starting attack in the next world cup. God willing...

Personally I would do...
Marchisio/Monto---Pirlo/Aquilani---De Rossi/Motta
---------------Cassano/Giovinco----------------
-----Balotelli/Pazzini----Rossi(Gio/Cassano)------
Now, I would prefer Pazzini, but to be honest, I would like to see how Balotelli is...

Knowing Prandelli, it's going to be a 4-3-1-2 depended on Pirlo as the Regista. The TQ uncertain, maybe Montolivo. But I would prefer Cassano, but he is unfit, or Giovinco, but we all know him at tracking back won't work out well. Maybe Balotelli? As he can do it as aswell... or even Aquilani who already tried, but failed to impress there.
To many Registas? More like ALL CM's and not wingers. But no problem, they are not needed in our system.
Though, I'm also surprised Balotelli is there as Sky TG 24 said Prandelli wouldn't of called him up, and I praise Prandelli for doing it nonetheless. I guess Balotelli proved himself against Inter.

Well not quite, Prandelli only used a 4-3-3 against Estonia and Northern Ireland right after Ivory Coast, and never did since that. It's been 4-3-1-2 up until this date. Though at the beginning he did use a 4-2-3-1. All attacking formations just to add. I would like the 4-3-3 formation, but it has not worked great for us, as we do lack with wingers and it didn't work out well with Lippi. Sorry Pino, but your false on what factor, Cassano was never tried out in the TQ, it was Giovinco, Aquilani, Mauri and Montolivo. Cassano has always been the support Striker.
As for the formation I completely agree. I love it. And to that we also have depth as I showed in my formation, good work.

Sorry Luca, but that is false. Giovinco was the TQ, replacing in the last 15 minutes of the game.
Rossi was the SS with Borriello and not Balotelli. Balotelli was never called up during that game.

Re: Italy vs Spain: 5 Juve Players Called Up. No Matri or Quag...
Oh if Cassano, who has been criticized for being overweight therefore out of form, is called up then Balotelli deserves it just as much. I, too applaud Prandelli for calling up Super Mario.
Wingers aren't needed, you are right.
However, by too many registas I just think it will end up being Pirlo and Montolivo starting together, I don't like that idea.
Marchisio/Motta-Pirlo/Montolivo-De Rossi/Nocerino
Up top, I would love to see Giovinco play with Rossi and Balotelli in there too, at least at some stage of the game.

Of course and I agree, we should applaud Prandelli for that, just odd though that Matri was not called up, in fact in his usual call ups, Giovinco is always mentioned as a midfielder and not a striker, but I think it's best for Matri if he sticks in Vinovo and works hard. It looks like Prandelli wants to try the modern twist and use small strikers(Support Strikers) rather than the classical prima punta like Matri, but for insurance there is always Pazzini, who in which you mentioned was struggling as of late, but needless to say him and Cassano together is untouchable.
Yes, wingers are not needed correct, as we lack them and surely don't need them for that matter. We have enough depth and skill in midfield, when it comes to both creativity, speed and defending. So all the right combinations are there with out problems. I don't see many Regista's really... Only ones are Montolivo, Aquilani and Pirlo and they surely won't start all together at least one of De Rossi or Motta need to play against Spain... or else our Midfield will be weak and thin.
Giovinco and Rossi would worry me a bit as they are a bit to small, I'd go with Balotelli/Giovinco or Balotelli/Rossi as you got one small and one strong. Perfect duo's nonetheless.
