Re: Preference between Aquilani and Montolivo
Wow, I did not expect when I made this thread that there would be such a unanimous preference for Montolivo. I suppose the Serie A fans on here no better than to label someone like Montolivo underrated, as they've watched on numerous occasions how devastating he has been in the league.
I suppose from outside the league, English, Spanish football fans would probably have a higher opinion of Aquilani, purely because they've had more exposure to him.

Nailed it.
Just about every EPL following mate of mine will pick Aquilani.
Not matter how much I talk about Aquilani's stop-start career, They'll always pick him over Monty.

Re: Preference between Aquilani and Montolivo
Um Aquillani spent his entire career in Italy except for one year in Liverpool, Serie A fans saw him a lot more than EPL fans (think he played only 16 games for Pool) or La Liga fans (he never set foot in La Liga) I have been following him since his Roma days and saw him destroy Real Madrid and pwn us with a rabona but injuries ruined him. He could have been one of the best midfielders in the world had it not been for injuries. He blows hot and cold too much and gets injured quite often. Even Juventus and Roma fans agree Montolivo will be a better option.

Aquilani has the ability to be the most devastating cm in the world, just like what everyone said, too inconsistent.
