Andrea Pazzagli has sadly passed
Former AC Milan and Roma goalkeeper Andrea Pazzagli has died at the age of 51 from a heart attack.
Pazzagli, who was holidaying in Punta Ala, Tuscany, is survived by his wife and three children, the oldest of which, Edoardo Pazzagli, plays for Fiorentina.
His career spanned almost 20 years, having reached his peak at AC Milan, with whom he played from 1989 to 1991, a period in which he won one European Cup, one Italian Supercup, two Intercontinental Cups and two European Supercups.
After retiring from football in 1996, Pazzagli worked for the San Siro club and Fiorentina as a goalkeeping coach, the same role he enjoyed with the Italy national team from 2001.
"Today is not a happy day because of the passing away of a man; a man who had values, a kind man. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family," AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri told the side's website.
"As I knew him, Andrea was a great person. We have lost someone who has been part of the Milan family and it is therefore a sad day for the club."
Gianluigi Buffon (sorry, this is google translate): "It 'was a sudden tragedy. A person who I last saw him two months ago in a state of optimal health, indeed, had an enviable physical, so much so that at 51 I looked at him and said' I want it now I at 33 your body '. What has happened today is something that leaves you stunned and makes us understand how life should be appreciated every minute. Having said that huge condolences to the family. I know the son who is an excellent keeper and can only embrace them and do nothing. "

Whenever a member of Grande Milano dies, a part of Milan dies.
When a part of Milan dies, a part of me dies.
Rest in peace.
When a part of Milan dies, a part of me dies.
Rest in peace.

Tragic to die so young, leaving behind a family, who my thoughts are with.
