Every time I watch this video I think of religion, and if there is life like us in other planets.
What you guys think? and also have you guys watched the documentary how earth was created?

Hundreds of billions of galaxies and we're the only intelligent life?

Its scary cus one small Astrid could end it all. I wish we are still around when we do find out there are others like us.

Yep, my thoughts exactly, although I don't think that we'll ever find other intelligent life forms out there because they're probably way too hard to get to or communicate with.Lex wrote:Hundreds of billions of galaxies and we're the only intelligent life?

Agreed.
If we are to believe that the universe is an infinite space, with infinite content, then other life must exist, but exist in variation.
It's development wouldn't necessarily be anything like that of our species I'd say. Could be like those micro-organisms living off of sulfur on the bottom of the ocean floor.

The scary thing is it's still expanding. If you're interested in space, read about the voyager 2, it's a space probe that was lanuched in 1972 and will leave the milkyway galaxy in 2015. It's traveling at like 18k miles per second.
Imagine that there is a galaxy inside our brain cells or we are just a brain cell to some other organism.

we could even be a the ant farm of a more advanced civilization, which itself can be an ant farm of an even more advanced life form and so on
or imagine us as characters in a book, these characters do not know that they are fragmants of the imagination of some dude
or we the whole existance could be just our own imagination and we dont know it ! hell we could be dreaming and not know it (which reminds me of a phylosophical idea that goes like "i once dreamed that im a butterfly but when i woke up i didnt know if i was a butterfly dreaming that its a human, or a human that dreamed that he was a butterfly)
so whatever our reality is, its the product of something superior to us, be it some aliens, some guy imagining things, a dream, or god
of course some fundamental athiest wont like the fact that i mention god so im expecting some shit storms in the coming hours

This is just getting too scary lol, I want to wake up. . I will say this I do respect all religions and I always want to learn more and more. All these things science is proving could in the end prove if the religion is true or made up like Scientology.

Re: So...you think you´re big..? billions of galaxies
I spent a whole semester studying other universes... speechless tbh.. Comets are serious things because they create and destroy lifeforms at the same time. There could be a world like Avatar or an Alien v. Predator type of thing going on as we speak. Truth is if there out there "which I do believe" then whoever is the more advanced will rape the other of every single resource they have. We here reports of sightings here yet mankind hasn't been pass the moon. What does that tell you
The Gliese start system right now is looking most likely to contain other forms of life

No chance at all man it would scare others, and possibly change the way everybody looks at everything, ppl would start believing anyone could be an alien even your family... "which would make you one also" or it could be life that shapeshifts one or an invisible one. How would most religions look afterwards, like the only thing they have in common with this is that angels came from above. It wouldn't lead to anything good. The only way I see it happening is if something the size of the death star just cast a shadow on the planet.

actually no, NASA is there to prove that other life forms are exist in the universe and if they ever proved it they'll finally have a reason to justify their budget

We sure as hell not alone in here. It's also sounds silly, but we're young at 4.5 billion years. And that's the planet's age, we've only been intelligent for a few thousand years. So like the last few words on the last page of a novel. Utterly insignificant. We factor in the incredible distances between every planet, star and galaxy...

I think that's the age of mankind (from adam and eve) not the planet earth. You blew my mind with your first post. Yeah pretty interesting stuff. Too bad we won't be alive to learn about it.zizzle wrote:Raptorgunner wrote:This is just getting too scary lol, I want to wake up. . Are u Serious !? If humans were 4 billions year old we would be a galactic empire by now ....
There are bilions of solar systems in The Milky Way .... It's silly to think that sentient life evolved only on a planet of one solar system .
