You know it's preseason when there's this much bickering about a friendly.

People are bored, let's get a move on with this season.

I might be wrong, but isn't parking the bus just catenaccio in another name? You know put 10 players around the penalty area and then counter-attack?Which is exactly what utd did. And its easier to create goal scoring opportunities when teams commit so many player on attack than it is against a wall of players...

anyway, this was just a friendly no reason to get upset about the tactis/result..

how does a B side include Pedro, Abidal, Busquets, Iniesta, Villa, Valdez
who start every week for Barcelona, so Messi and Xavi away from having there full attack on the field

and we play Nani, Vidic, Rafael, Rooney, Evra and Young (a first year United player) and are somehow fielding are full strength squad

United had 5-6 regulars on field and Barca had 5 but OMGZ MAN U FULL STRENGTHZ and BARCAZ B TEAM LULZ

didn't know you all rated Welbeck Evans Cleverly Anderson so highly

I don't think that anyone has said that you started with your strongest team possible. From this thread, the one who posted anything close to that was dnmac4, but not even him said you started with your best team. He only said that you played your 5 best players, while barca didn't apart from iniesta(villa and pedro in their form they aint in our top 5 best player)

Villa and Pedro both played in your starting 11 for the CL finals, so they are part of a full strength Barca


not to mention Villa Pedro Busquets Abidal Iniesta all played more minutes then Rooney, Young, Anderson, Evra....young the only one playing past half


Villa was the first Barca every week starter subbed off at the 62nd minute

we had chicharito, berbatov, valencia, giggs, carrick, vidic, fabio, rio all not starting

tell me again we had a full team out? not our fault our squad is so strong that you cant tell who our first team is

Vidic started and Busquets played defense, we had 1 starting defender playing and even he was out of position. You started Vidic, Rooney, Evra, Young, and Nani who are pretty much your best players. Also, the "better" twin started and got injured I don't know if that's Fabio or not, did you not watch the game?

4 out of our 5 best players did not start. Including the best player in the world and the best midfielder in the world along with our captain. Xaxi, Messi, Puyol, Alves and Piques all did not play, not to mention Alexis Sanchez as well.

You have a deep squad but you really don't have a starting lineup like we do as for example Berba and Nani didn't start the Champions League final, so you did start a very strong squad. If you go by the starting line ups it was obvious one team was trying to win and the other treated it as a preseason game.

Yes he pops up at the right time but that doesn't make him VERY integral. Messi is the player who is integral. Without him(and Alves), we are just Spain with a different coach(i.e. pretty boring to watch)

No one is crying. I'm stating a pretty easy fact to understand. Your best players played and ours didn't. I mean you are either full retard or you're trolling. One out of our top 5 players played and 4 out of your top 5 played. I will do a sig bet or any kind of bet with you that Ashley Young starts more games then Valencia this year.

And again, BUSQUETS WAS NOT IN THE MIDFIELD, I don't know how many times I have to say this. HE played full back. There was not 2 World cup winners in Midfield it was Thiago, Iniesta, Keita.

The most important players in a team are your central defender, central mid's, and your playmaker/scorer, all of yours played, none of ours played what is so hard to understand, you are really thick man. Weird all our scorers played yet the 20 goal EPL mand and 20 goal CL and EPL man were not in the squad....(Chicharito and Berbatov.) alll are scorers were in the squad and played tho apparently......
