Dictating I agree, generally? Too broad, if you need a b2b cm like Viera or Essien then Xavi won't fit the bill. If you need a conductor then he is peerless.

Would take Redondo over him, he was simply better and more complete. Give Xavi strength, height, defensive skills and stamina and you have Redondo. He had bad luck to not have a good NT team. One of the most underrated players ever.

The reason I'd take Redondo over him ? Xavi needed a system to perform.

PS : He'll go down in history because of his achievements as the best CM along with Pirlo. But in terms of ability his top 10.

Before 2008 he won best playmaker in Europe. What's your point? Pirlo, Scholes are all refernece points for clubs, even Zidane. So the system arguement is a farce.
