Beating the hipster is of no real accomplishment. A jobber is doomed to be replaced eventually.

Not a fan of their summer recruitment. They got decent names, but got rid of a lot of their promising youth players.

Koop is a good player, but he has no business playing between the lines. He needs to be behind the ball.

I also think Motta needs to be more courageous and attack with an extra player in the box. Lack of overloads in attacking situations to prioritize defensive stability.

Not sure how committed Juve is to him - for instance if they don’t make CL is he allowed to stay? How invested is the management in the Motta project? It seems to me my concerns mentioned above are more common in phase 1 of projects and should be gone over time with better players + more experience/training time.

No, if we don't make CL he won't stay, and shouldn't.

While the results aren't there, the team is clearly evolving and showing a lot of good signs. He still has some credit. After the transfer window no more mistakes will be allowed though.

Bremer's injury really killed our defense, and we only have 1 good fullback so it's all in crisis mode. I don't know anything about Alberto Costa but he must be better than Cabal, Savona or McKennie. Not signing Calafiori was the biggest and most obvious blunder of our summer, no hindsight required for that one.

Koop needs to figure it out, he is the missing link. Locatelli and Thuram have already formed a good partnership.

Vlahovic also needs to step up or he will be on the way out. The team needs a goalscorer.

A criticism to Motta, besides the league table, is also the treatment of some players. Kicking out Chiesa, Danilo, and Fagioli when we don't have replacements on hand has costed us this season.

Selling Dean Huijsen, who has all-timer potential, just to get Kalulu is a sackable offense. Giuntoli is a clown.

Yes and not just Huijsen, Soule could have been tried. We moved to a system with wingers and we rely on Yildiz and Mbangula, both academy graduates + Conceicao (great signing). No reason to get rid of Soule before trying him out, if only for depth.

Instead we have Kalulu and Gatti, who are simply fine, and since Danilo is pushed out, basically no one else to cover at CB. Even Rugani would have been good to have.

It was too much too fast and when this is done, mistakes are bound to be made. Reminds me a bit of Marotta's first summer at Juve.

The team lacks depth and Motta has had to rely heavily on the academy. Juve B is the best thing at Juve of the last 5 years at least. Plenty of useful kids coming up.

Giuntoli deserves time. Let's see.

So far misses with some of the sales we mentioned. Misses with signing Cabal and maybe Di Gregorio too (good player, but we needed to strengthen other areas). We needed to sign a CB (or at least not get rid of two of them) and a proper fullback.

Success with fixing the midfield that has had so many problems for so many years. It's not spectacular but it's quite good and Thuram is a great signing. Conceicao and Nico are both good signings.

I still have some hope for Luiz, let's see if he can turn it around.
