Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Man makes me feel strange now that everyone is raving about Partey would be a decent replacement for Busquets b4 Arsenal got him...
How was Jorghino? Only half watched the game. De Bruyne/Gundugan/Haaland link ups are a real joy to watch when they click, unstoppable

Most players would be happy about getting one of these shots in in a single match. The first two were rockets.

Incredible come back goal there
What a dramatic late goal as well, must give Arsenal confidence again. Great to see another proper title race

Foden is doing his best impression of Grealish
City are back to their awful post- Arsenal match form. Long shots and sporadic crosses. Haaland has probably touched the ball 3 times. This is Nottingham Forest ffs

Chelsea have said repeatedly that Potter's job is safe but I'm starting to wonder, cant go on for much longer surely. Enzo and Mudryk look stinky too.

I highly doubt it, but you might place above Man City, which equals your last placing under Ole despite Man City and Liverpool having declined and having fixed some of your most glaring, defensive issues since then LMAO

How stupid is that Pope lad. Literaly it's better to be 3 goals down with 11 men than 2 goals down with 10 men

Arsenal's team may be younger and less experienced, but there's a significant gap between them and City in terms of motivation to win, I think. With the exception of the recent match between the two clubs, there's a certain sluggishness and lack of urgency in how City have been playing since back in late october. They don't build up their attacks and they don't utilize Haaland much either, so it almost looks like they're playing for a draw or counting on the occasional long shots or crosses to settle things.

My god are Leicester bad at capitalizing on their chances. They should've been at least 1 goal up already. Great save by De Gea for the first attempt, but that was an awful shot in a 1v1 situation.

I thought that was offside. 1-0 Man United. Rashford scores again. And again. 2-0 and game over for Leicester, who have created quite a lot, but don't seem to have anyone capable of finishing off their chances.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
In the PL you need a +10 game win streak to even think about being champion in the last few years it’s even been like a 15 game win run.
Whoever gets that between now and the end of the season will end up winning. I thought City might kick off that run after their win against Arsenal, but they took another step back with the draw against Nottingham

The late inclusion of Casemiro added a lot of defensive stability that you've been missing for ages. Your defense looked really shaky today as well, although Leicester never punished you for it.
What the hell does Weghourst offer to this team, though? I've tried to analyze exactly what his strengths are, but I have absolutely no clue.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
I like watching Sancho as a #10. He doesn’t have the pace to play as a touchline winger but he’s really good in tight spaces. Sancho in the middle with Bruno on the inside right is a good dynamic.

I read some descriptions of him from mostly dutch people who have worked with him in the past, and they make him sound like a potential world beater, but I can't tell what his strengths are and he's 30.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Weghorst is atrocious in the air
I like his attitude and work rate but he offers nothing besides that
he's only decent in the penalty box
he's just a stop gap because our options were so limited in January and we needed to sign someone because Martial is injured 85% of the season
Osimhen in the summer pls

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Yeah he’s shit in the air for his size. I mean putting an oaf up top can be useful when you’re chasing a lead or up against a team who is parking the bus. But I saw him play as a #10 today too.
He has no business being a starter and I suspect that United will make a big money signing for that position this summer anyways.
