Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Arsenal, put themselves in a position of privilege above City (something even Klopp couldn't) and still crumbled. They won't even get 85 points after all this. Wow, they are such a disappointment. Best of luck worshipping this season to never again witness it you losers

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
They've only won 2 in last 8 games. this is honestly embarrasing, totally comfortable at the top and yet Man City celebrate with three games to go, didnt even go down to the wire. I think it's false to argue fatigue and all that, they didnt even compete on 3 fronts simultaneously. This is more mental than physical

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Actually, one of those 2 teams won two trophies this season and the other none at all. No, wait! The Preseason Emirates Cup. Of course! I think it pays off to be a little more humble, you dont know what next season will bring. You might aswell miss out on top4 next year. This was Arsenal's chance and they couldn't carry this weight. I think it's misguided to deflect and say it's because of fatigue, Arsenal were kicked out of Europa mid-March. Sure Man City has a wider squad, but they're competing for a treble. If you focus on just one competition, you don't really need two starting lineups. So moreso than anything else, I would say what Arsenal have experienced was mental fatigue rather than physical. When it counted the most, they looked nothing like champions, far from it. Kudos for the push and making the race somewhat interesting, but they've a lot of work to do and next season will be the real examination of the character of this team and whether they can get at least 80 pts again which isnt easy so credit where it's due. However, the way it looks now they may finish closer to 3rd than to first.

Chelsea are making the likes of Cole Palmer, Sergio Gomez and Rico Lewis look like starters. Cole Palmer struggled against Southampton in the cup earlier this year, but he looks like he's having the time of his life right now

I'm so glad that Southgate is watching this game in the stands because he's able to see Foden play as a #10 first hand.
Foden is absolutely bossing it in the pockets and between the lines.

Alvarez is such a killer in front of goal. I think his ball striking might even be better than Haaland's.

really curious how some of these Chelsea signings perform next season, they all look so bad but maybe Poch gets them playing better
as for Alvarez gotta wonder how long he's gonna be content playing backup, he could start for most top teams, maybe all of them

Still thinking Poch is so overrated? Therefore Chelsea a long way to go b4 they get back to 'normal' Im guessing
Hard to pinpoint but sacking Tuchel was definitely not right decision n then freakin hiring Lampard pfft, they deserve all this happenings atm

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Just read that ManCity had 480m worth of bench today for the Chelsea game. Insane, how long will other clubs cope with a safe strategy in the transfer market. Chelsea and ManUtd even after spending so much can't compete with City. Where as Liverpool and Arsenal are never going to learn to be ruthless in the transfer market. If Pep stays at City, I can easily see City winning minimum 3 out of next 5 EPL titles. In between NewCastle and someone else might nick one or two.

Thanks, the only competition Klopp has played in and not won. Will keep an eye out for Sporting Lisbon

That Brighton-Man City game was insane last night. I can’t even imagine if the title was on the line there. Brighton is so fun to watch

Brighton were good and probably deserved to win the match. Man City were not good, and they looked particularly mediocre in the second half

should probably be 3-0 down against Chelsea and yet it's 2-0 at the end of the first half
champions league looking locked

I disagree. Utd have looked the better team. If their counters weren't so terrible in the first half they'd be leading 5-0 at the interval.
It's a blessing in disguise that Antony is unavailable. He is a black hole in possession.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Lampard is just clueless, his teams has always looked clueless n it hasnt improved at all
Dunno what hes trying to do n the players like that look, just lost lol... maybe hes trying to press but its always ineffective n leaves opponents so much space to counter. Just in general his teams look clueless, in attack, n even worst when defending
Any manager would be an upgrade to this... I imagine having a proper 9 would also go a long way as well.

Prolly best for Lampard to go train more first or manage a lower division team to learn the trade b4 embarrassment himself again if he wants to continue his managerial career... reminds me of Neville, just newb thrown into managing such a big club, completely out of his depth.

Lewis Hall is so good, unbelievable we paid insane fee for CuCu, we also have Mastson who is PL quality LB on loan.
We sold Gilmour for peanuts, quality CM who will do big things for Brighton.
Tuchel was ready to sell Levi Coilwill, who is England most promising CB since John Stones.
So much money spent with little return.

couldn't help but notice Arteta is already copying Pep again with the 4 CB at the back thing
granted Partey isn't a CB but he isn't a natural RB. In this instance, Partey is the one stepping up into midfield when we are attacking.
Absolutely shameless... he should copy how Pep uses his entire squad throughout the season so that key players have enough in the tank when finishing the season

lmaoo they wanted Everton to go down, they gave an extra 10 minutes stoppage time in that game...
anyway, 7 years after lifting the GOAT league trophy, Leicester City are relegated. It's all on them, cashed in on Kante, Mahrez and Maguire but never revitalised their team. All these years later, and Vardy and Iheanacho are still their strikers.
