Lol missed that post where Firenze said it, trolling and banter at top level. I watched yesterday's game between Newcastle and Arsenal, was very surprised with both the teams. I didn't think Newcastle had it in them to play the way they played against Arsenal - very impressive, quick and created so many opportunities. Any other day, this could have been another 2-2.
On the other side, Arsenal played dirty at times yesterday and were kind of lucky that Newcastle didn't finish one of the chances when it was 1-0. Tbh, Arsenal have been very lucky throughout the season but their heroic defense has helped them along the way.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
when I said that Newcastle had noticeably dropped off in form but they picked up again not long after
could still realistically finish outside top 4 and we'll not see Mole again all season
I agree they were hard done by yesterday though
still cant believe we spent 80m on Antony...we cant score goals this season. Rashford carried us for a while but other than him look at our attacking depth...its appalling...we have a player from Burnley on loan starting most games and he's invisible af. Hard to even see us scoring 1 goal in the next few games. Mental Midgets.
Rashford, Martial (injued 80% of every season), Elanga, Sancho (LMAO), Weghorst, Garnacho, Antony
we'll be lucky to crack 50 goals scored this season
its almost unbelievable we're actually 4th right now with this shite

who had the most clear cut chances/1 on 1s in that game? stop that bullshit talk lol. We could have easily won 4-2 ourselves had we put away our many 1 on 1s
Newcastle have been very good in recent weeks and we not so much, that's why i thought we might lose today. However i was pleasantly surprised by our mature performance. We showed up with a smart gameplan, thwarted most of Newcastle's regular actions and beat them fair and square at the end. Luck my ass, GTFOH!

Apparently Yaya Toure's shamans have lifted City's CL curse this year, according to his agent and wished them luck to win it.

Fake news vibe, for shame
My former agent is being quoted by the media about a ‘curse’.
— Yaya Touré (@YayaToure) May 8, 2023
Please don’t associate me with this nonsense and lazy stereotypes about African curses!?
Media… move on please. This man does not represent me in any way. Amplifying these stereotypes is harmful.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
And Brighton falls off the cliff, losing again now 1-5 to Everton? ... almost all of the times when the small teams have a great chance to upset by making the CL or EL spots they fail towards the end somehow? Cant help but feel often these might be fixed, the big rich clubs just pay the smaller ones off to ensure they dont miss out
So it looks like now the usual top 6 with Newcastle replacing Chelsea
I like it like that though cos the big rich clubs are just more entertaining with bigger stars

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Everton wanted the win much, much more than Brighton did. One team is fighting to prevent relegation, the other has a small and unlikely chance of finishing in the top 4. I assume that's the explanation behind the disparity in motivation

Drama continues in the season end run in
Still looks like Newcastle n Man U make CL though... cant help but notice one of our worst ever players Firpo giving away pen n sent off as well as winning a pen himself
Looking like will be relegated with Leeds though, seemingly quite many of the players that are not good enough for us we move on to clubs end up like that
Aston Villa beat Spurs is pretty funny imo regarding Spurs... looks like its gonna be downhill from here for them since there is a new big boy Newcastle now, Liverpool improving, etc., means they prolly wont even make EL?

I doubt it. From what I've seen from them lately, it seems unlikely that a manager will be able to come in and change things. Unless, GL was right and Poch really does have mysterious and magic powers of man management. I'm looking forward to witnessing their players level up

Everton look like they have been resting all season with how much energy they're putting into their pressing game. Maybe they can cause an upset against City today

Everton pushed up a little after that first goal and left too much space for Haaland. You give him a few inches and it's over
