So Cancelo got a red and conceded a PK and TAA did the exact same thing today and nothing was given 😂

Let's be real, this is a "fight for EL spots" lineup, not a top 4 one. United, Pool, Chelsea sleepwalking

So amusing that narrative around Liverpool keeps changing, suddenly our cycle is over and we are the worst of the lot. Then we are sleep walking into top 4 Laughing

Thimmy wrote:Yes, you have a great record against the likes of Real Madrid hmm

First time you were lucky, you played almost with 12 players with Liverpool's goalkeeper on your side. Second time you just somehow managed with we hitting post and ball somehow not going on. Over 2 legs, we will definitely kick you out this time.
In the year 2030 Liverpool will still be talking about revenge Laughing you couldn't even beat us last year when we were at our worst, we are miles better this season and you, well you have no Mane anymore who is the only one who turns up against us. Out of all the R16 teams we can meet, you are probably one of the easiest. Sit down!

Initially when I had posted it, I was not thinking of Madrid Laughing . But now when I think of it, Madrid are Liverpool's kryptonite. The best chance of beating Madrid is over 2 legs instead of a final, so why not meet you before only Proud .
Also mate, I am telling you, in big games we have performed far better than what results tell. If we meet Madrid in knockouts, this time we are definitely kicking you out.

I didn’t mean to create a narrative against anyone. Just observing what looks to be a decline in the usual top teams in the Premier League. I think it’s still an entertaining league to watch, but the overall quality looks like it’s dropped this season. The only team heading in the opposite direction is Arsenal.

That’s exactly what I mean with the inconsistency in officiating and seemingly whimsical use of VAR. I can’t tell if things have improved or regressed, all things considered. Seems like an absurd amount of money to spend on giving referees an extra option.

Conte threw it away by not having Doherty and Kulu play earlier. Obviously there are some fitness questions but still. Not to mention a classic "Dire" mistake.

Difficult one to swallow as Tottenham had so many chances in that second half.

But yeah that squad without Son and Kulu is absolutely toothless up front. When Kulu is in, the team is different. Doherty too is just miles above Emerson. It's very difficult to call this Tottenham team much good when you are missing players like Kulu and Son, and have Emerson playing a pivotal wingback position. See how the team looked after Doherty and Kulu came on. That's a team that finishes top 4. Without them? EL.

And how did I forget the most important? This team needs Romero back, BADLY

massive chance for Arsenal tonight... in previous seasons they would fuck up by putting extra pressure on themselves whenever they saw a top 4 contender also fuck up. Next test in their growth.

Arsenal still have two h2h matches vs Man City and honestly 5 points is nothing with so many games left to go

City almost squandered a 14-point lead last season

Vieira was awesome coming on... Team really fluid, change up their attacking formation in the second half which made the difference.

Jesus may not score every game, but his contribution is all-round impactful

Post by Casciavit Sat Nov 12, 2022 10:10 pm

I don't think City were saving themselves for the WC. What I saw today was a repeated pattern against other teams this season. Brentford sat deep and pretty much parked the bus using a 5-3-2, and City had no answers. They were quite sloppy, and really suffered against Toney. Akanji only won 1/6 of his aerial duels lol.

The most striking part was how drab their possession on the wing was. There was just no change of pace whatsoever, but I guess that's what happens when you sell all your pacey outlets who could attack defenders 1v1. They should've replaced that profile, as they're clearly struggling against teams who sit back in numbers even though last minute Haaland goals might save them half the time. They don't make the comeback against Aston Villa last season if Sterling wasn't there. All the top teams have them right now:

Madrid - Vinicius
Barca - Dembele/Raphinha
Bayern - Sane/Coman
Arsenal - Saka/Martinelli
Liverpool - Diaz/Salah
PSG - Mbappe/Neymar

Though I'm not sure if Pep will go after them. He seems to strongly dislike that profile because they're prone to regularly losing the ball. If he does go for them again, then it wouldn't surprise me if he makes a move for someone like Leao who theoretically fits the bill.

remember, they were also extremely lucky to get the win vs Fulham last weekend...

so far this season only really Haaland, Foden and de Bruyne has contributed for City on the offensive end. Alvarez here and there. Apart from losing Sterling, they also miss Mahrez top form from the past two seasons.

While in contrast, Arsenal have had Jesus, Nelli, Saka, Odegaard and Xhaka contributing to offensive end product. While also being the league leaders in corners from goal with 5, i believe.

Post by Firenze Tue Nov 22, 2022 10:23 pm

Sky News can exclusively reveal that the Glazer family is preparing to formally announce its intention to examine potential sources of outside investment that could include a full-blown auction of arguably the world's most famous football club.

Sources said on Tuesday that investment bankers were being instructed by Manchester United's owners to advise on the process, which is likely to include a full or partial sale, or strategic partnership with third parties.

A statement confirming their intentions could come imminently, one of them said.

The announcement of a review of financial options that could include a sale process would signal an end to years of speculation over whether the Glazers might be persuaded to offload a club which for the past decade has experienced an almost-unmitigated footballing decline.

Because he's the hero Manchester deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So everybody will hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not your hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A true Kommander.
