Re: Ligue 1 22-23
Neyman indivually remains quite good its just he never seems to really add anything to the game bar his own skill be it improving play, making others seem or play better around him and ultimately just isn't the play he used to be anymore. A near finished story so just more interesting players and courses within PSG than Nerman.

Re: Ligue 1 22-23
Very impressed with Marseille's insane pressing n general play over these last 2 games, but this time PSG finally managed to counter with Mbappe in having a fun time, what a performance from him ffs, cemented again hes really taken over as the best. Messi with those delightful passes to him too though, usual stuff First goal what a run but Marseille's shape was so funny, 2 players deep on Mbappe n the other 2 defenders pressed Messi miles up the pitch leaving a huge hole (which Marquinhos also ran into for a 1v1 later on ). Second goal was a perfect pass from Mbappe, n then the 3rd goal must be one of the best Ive ever seen. Also loving Mendes bombing up n down the flank, such a beast physically.
As everyone said above, looks like Mbappe link up without Neymar is even better n could be more balanced team even if Neymar tries to defend the most? Anyway sure he'll replace Ruiz when back.
Kimpembe hasnt been good in a long time so him out might be a good thing also? Everyone getting ready for Bayern, COME ON~!

Re: Ligue 1 22-23
Neymar's issue is that he's a ball-stopper. Many great dribblers are like that... they bring these wow moments. But at the end of the day, they kill the team's momentum.
Messi is a rare combo of a great dribbler while keeping his teammates in the flow.
Another issue with Neymar is that opponents can get in his head, and then he loses the plot. He doesn't have the mental toughness and drive of Messi and Mbappe, where it's a waste of time to try and provoke them.

Mbappe really on fire, hes really dominating games for a long while now. Cant wait for the Bayern game.

@Doc hope you're doing fine bruh, miss muh GL Ligue 1 corrrespondent
Just seen that Jonathan David is now the #1 goalscorer in Lille's history at just 23, hattrick tonight, he's above Mbappe as the topscorer in the league, curious where he ends up next summer, I figured someone would have bought him last

I apologise profusely, I have not watched Ligue 1 in months as I really haven't been in the mood for French football (to those that are not accustomed to Ligue 1, it really is an acquired taste).
However, after viewing PSG be PSG in Europe, I think it is time to try to watch again. If I last a month, I should be fine.

Re: Ligue 1 22-23
no one has signed him because he looks terrible I legit don’t know how he is scoring so much. The last striker Lille sold for big money for Osimhen and talent wise there is no comparison. I don’t know where he will go next but big chances that he flops.Firenze wrote:@Doc hope you're doing fine bruh, miss muh GL Ligue 1 corrrespondent

Re: Ligue 1 22-23
Auxerre vs Rennes: yeah this was lame but Rennes at least knows how to keep possession so I guess that's a plus.
Brest vs PSG: personally, Mbappe dodged a red card but I could see also see why he never got one too. Outside of that, absolutely lame PSG performance and Brest really did well vs them but at the same time, I love the build up for the game winning goal. I wish I could comment on how PSG played but it really was not anything grand at all. I suppose Messi tried a bit today and Donna wasn't his blunderous self so...yay?
All in all, this is going to be a difficult month for me but I am back. Sort of.

Perhaps it was playing along side Davies and Larkin for Canada NT that has led to the improvement!

Leo Messi left Tuesday’s training because he was disappointed with what Galtier proposed. The coach tried to convince him to stay but Leo went home anyway. @Djaameel56

Re: Ligue 1 22-23
First off, PSG fans are a proud bunch and really love their side and definitely no more fickle than other fan bases.
Secondly, my review of PSG vs Rennes:
The moment I saw that blight Kim showed up, I knew PSG was gonna give me a stinker. Just knew it. Also, no Neymar, no party. However, Mandanda had a really fine match and furthermore, Rennes was absolutely solid in their approach and play. Honestly liking this Ugochukwu lad, only 18 too.

Saw the goal. Messi and Mbapay weren't even in the frame when the ball was cleared and the opposition team mounted another attack.

Well there was an international break again... But it's weird because it doesn't seem to have affected Messi's performance, but everyone elses. Everyone else playing like shit. So it could be the coach, and/or problems in dressing room.Cruijf wrote:Galtier needs to be sacked asap. PSGs record since the World Cup is embarrassing

Yet Messi is the only one getting booed by fans during team announcements. You think its because he's performing so well?

To be fair he actually has been very good this season. PSG fans don’t deserve nice things.

Re: Ligue 1 22-23
() BREAKING: Messi and PSG are close to parting ways and he is no longer expected to stay, unless he accepts a wage reduction. The player, who waits for sporting guarantees, and his camp also not ready to “do everything” to renew. @Tanziloic #Transfers
— Reshad Rahman (@ReshadRahman_) April 3, 2023
I think it's done already, the booes and now they're trying to reduce his wages further away from Mbappe/Neymar, even though he's the most dependable (most minutes after Dollarhyde) and easily the best performing player. I think he'll rather go for minimum wage for Barca ala Alves.
