The bundesliga is finished
As the title suggests, the league is losing their biggest star to la liga, and the premier league. With Lewy out they are not the 5th best league in Europe behind Série A and Ligue 1 Uber eats… sad days for Hans when he is forced to pick up Brentford following to get some action. Last season elimination to Villarreal sealed the league fate.
I blame this on Khan and the salami sandwich lad, being back the sausage fraudster please

Re: The bundesliga is finished
The league was finished long ago when Bayern PSG'd the league but Bayern will still be relevant tho
De Ligt, Mane, those Ajax kids they recently signed. Only if they had a better coach, they'd easily be a CL contender imo.

ehhhhhh
Bundesliga has always been pathetic and dead besides Bayern, except the Dortmund Klopp era
I still think they're above Ligue 1 in terms of strength overall tho

It's been suggested that the reason why Lewandowski was/is unhappy at Bayern is largely a result of their pursuit of Haaland, and then later their reluctance to let him leave once Haaland was out of the picture. That could just be media gossip, but something tells me that Haaland never wanted to play for Bayern in the first place. Man City got him for peanuts, after all.

Man City got Haaland for peanuts because he got a release clause, and I'd reckon that City were willing to pay much higher wages than Bayern.
And if not allowing Qatari blood money to pay for idiots like Neymar is making sure the Bundesliga doesn't matter internationally, I'm fine with that. I'd rather watch the Pokal or league games than have a club like PSG or City around.
Leipzig is bad enough.

Re: The bundesliga is finished
Obviously YMMV as I've never been hugely into one of our bigger clubs, so I've never expected European glory, which is why I don't miss it.
Admittedly, Eintracht Frankfurt winning the Europa League was a fucking blissful experience, so maybe I just don't know what I'm missing. It's just that neither Bayern nor Dortmund are super likable. And I don't mean to trash their fans, I mean, like - why would you support Bayern if you're not from the area, and you have to watch interviews with Hoeneß?
Admittedly modern day Dortmund are easier to like, but I was alive in the late 90s, when they were a despicable club, sooo.
And competitively it's not dead. Yeah Bayern are gonna win, but all the other matches are often highly entertaining, and you can't really look at runs of clubs like Freiburg or Union Berlin and not feel a bit of Fußballromantik.

That first goal was a keeper's worst nightmare. I'm not sure how common it is for smoke to be lit off directly behind the goal, but it completely backfired and directly led to the goal. Heads dropped pretty quickly after that.

In general? Not that common.
During Frankfurt games? Somewhat common.

So it's just where their ultras happen to be? That makes more sense then. Probably just unlucky with the wind blowing the smoke onto the pitch.
