And how is that a surprise? If you watched PSG, they looked horrible and weren't in first place at the time. And management told Carlo that if the club got knocked out in the first round of the elimination round of CL, he'd be sacked.

How could Carlo be surprised by this?

And btw, he didn't need to be renewed. He had 1 more year left on his contract. PSG released him from that final year.

My point is that overbloating transfer fees and wages was a Madrid tradition.  Creating havoc in other clubs by targeting their best players still is a Madrid tradition.

So how can a club that has been such cunts over their history cry a river over a player that wasn't even theirs to begin with! If PSG had taken a Madrid player, I could at least understand the premise a bit... but this?

Mbappe is 23 years old but he sounds super immature and spoiled, he should first learn proper etiquette before ever asking Real to consider him as an option, although with the shtick he pulled on Perez i'm not sure if he'll ever approach him again.

You're correct Sports, Madrid has a real history of mistreating managers and I think Perez has been doing his best (as much as his ego can) to fix what has already been broken. But you're right, it is hypocrisy for me to talk like that. At the same time, I don't think I am wrong.

Guys like Carlo have huge egos stemming from great resumes so to tell him "lose to Porto and you're done" is going to come across as disrespectful.

@DoC Maradona was prevented from leaving the local league for Europe as a teenager. Was told it would be inconvenient and he had to wait a little longer .
