What does that even mean? Carlo absolutely loves Casemiro and wasn't happy with Tcho in his first game.

This isn't like Varane who we knew was finished and would rip Utd's hands off for the sum they were offering

This is a beast still at the top of his game albeit has lost alot of his speed and isn't the best under pressure. Pair him with 2 passers and you'll see how amazing he is at mopping up after them. Casemiro is going to loves EPL's leniency .

I'd still prefer for him to stay and for Kroos to be the one leaving, though he is according to rumours planning to retire next year. That means we are potentially losing Kroos and Casemiro within 2 seasons and Modric probably a year later. God, this truly is an end of an era

The transfer makes no sense. Some of Man U's biggest problems include the inability to build from the back and retain the ball under pressure. How does Casemiro solve either of these issues?

According to Tancredi Palmeri Utd want to make Casemiro the 4th highest paid player in EPL (18ME). Man if I were Casemiro I'd take that. He earns less than a third of that in Madrid and he's won it all

So United solution is to re-create the Madrid team that won the 3-peat? They already have Ronaldo and Varane.

IF this is true it makes sense he would be open to it

Like you say he's peaked at Madrid probably, has NOTHING to prove and we're throwing absurd money at him on a 5 year contract (which could easily backfire on us, hell, these kind of signings usually DO)

We're just that desperate, it's not my money so hey, whatever. I hope it happens. I'm so sick of our midfield. and we still need another CM

I wouldn't hold it against him if he left to be honest (although I'd rather if he stayed). He's won it all and if he's no longer motivated or wants something new, then I wish him all the best.

He's also in his prime and has many elite years left to give. So United should definitely sign him if they have the chance (although something tells me that this is all BS and he doesn't want to leave).

But you could see from a mile away that Varane wasn't suited to the speed of the PL. Together with his injuries,  I think we all could've predicted it'd turn out like this. Casemiro on the other hand is WC and PL suited. He's the exact player you want behind or ahead of you if you're a midfielder or a defender.

The only question here is if he'll be motivated to help Utd get back to the top. Before we signed Casemiro he was in danger of drifting away as his coach in Brazil thought he was lazy and unprofessional,  we took a huge gamble on him. He had top professionals like Ramos and Ronaldo next to him and the right environment to get his head straight. Maybe he could use that experience to help the young Utd players

Sure they want Casemiro and offering ridiculous salary etc to him, and various rumors suggest either he is thinking about it or he has totally discounted it (lol, guess which one Firenze didn’t post).

Meanwhile at Madrid, they figure they could use Alaba and / or Rudgier to cover if necessary and they could use funds ManU would pay to go after Bellingham now rather than wait til next summer.

And meanwhile, the last two years, although overall, Casemiro has been an extremely valuable asset, there have been games were he cost us. Bottom line to me with the new additions, club could manage without him.

However all this assumes Firenze is right which I highly doubt. There has been no mention of what price will be demaned. And yes some RM fans have said if player wants to go, Flo won’t stand in his way, but never this late in market. He will demand a reasonable transfer fee.

But bottom line to me is Casemiro is loved by coach and team and a critical part of the success. Why in the world, would he leave a successful organization for a very troubled loser organization? Not all players are like Mbappe that are driven by money!

Defeat at Brentford knocked some sense into them, the transfer strategy was to buy eredivisie scrubs now they are willing to overpay for good players at least.
