Media reporting Chelsea will make huge loss if Werner returns to RB Leipzig for £25.3m after joining for £47.5m much smaller loss will be booked in the accounts. His book value after 2 years amortisation is £28.5m (47.5 x 3/5) so the loss in accounts is ‘just’ £5m (28.5-23.5)

One decent pass into the midfield would split that side open as neither Eriksen, SMS nor Rabiot can/would/could do any defense covering.

Seriously, they could have hired me to make their footballing decisions. It'll still be terrible but my salary would be much less.

I could guarantee I ain't salty at all about a club whose 4th economic lever is now to bully Frenkie into not collecting what is contractually owed to him.

I actually find this all fascinating though I would say this: Barca's squad looks like it can challenge on all fronts and I expect a much better showing from them in both La Liga and Europe.
