WHICH TWO TEAM WILL PROGRESS ?
Re: Champions League 2021/22 | Group B
Tomori isn't used to starting as an RCB, he starts as an LCB and covers Theo's maurading runs, allow it.
Alexis' decision making in the final 1/3 is legit tilting me
I don't foresee us drawing this, let alone winning. And herr we were talking about how we'd pick up 6 points from Porto when the draw was made

Re: Champions League 2021/22 | Group B
Romagnoli's influence just makes our entire backline worse, which we can survive in the league, but not in the big games.
Calabria is out, looks like a muscle injury (hopefully that's all it is). Too bad, because I was actually hoping for Calabria to go in top in place of Saladmaker.

Pioli subbing in Maldini for Leao is more a prayer than a tactical sub.
Also, we got the now-classic Ibra offside goal (Krunic was too slow in his pass to the offside Theo).

Re: Champions League 2021/22 | Group B
Deserved point to Porto.
I hope they beat Pathetico in the final match and progress to the next round. They deserve it more than us based on our two matches.
Mathematically, our only hope now is for Liverpool to win all their matches and lose against us (fat chance).
In my opinion, we should have started with Ibra from the start. He is not a sub player, it takes him 15 minutes to get into the rhythm of the match. Subbing him in when we need to chase the game is just stupid.
Also, using Maldini as a sub at the end was just insane. More superstition than sense, and it hurts the player more than helps him. I like the kid, but he is being used more like a prop than a player by Pioli.
Finally, I really hope we don't lose Calabria against Inter. We can't play against them without both of our first-choice fullbacks. Kalulu is a fine sub at RB, but Calabria offers more of a chance.
Final point, we looked like conceding with every set piece against us, and I have no idea why is that. We still have not conceded a goal from a set-piece, but it looked more like luck than skill in this match.
P.S: I have a major professional exam early tomorrow, and I hoped Milan would give me an extra bit of euphoria before I go, but it looks like I am taking it on my own.

@Kaladin nvm us, you would struggle against Salford City
do you guys at least get a chance at a deep Europa Conference run by finishing last?
Good luck with the exam Spencer

I don't think the fourth place drop to the Europa Conference cup. That would actually be disastrous.
Watching the highlights of the game, it's apparent how lucky we were not to concede any of Porto's set pieces. But also, it is apparent how stupid we were in wasting ALL of our counter-attacks, with someone always picking the worst pass when we routinely get 5 v 3 and 6 v 3 situations.
Thanks, Firenze and Hans for the good wishes.

You talk a lot of smack for someone who's team will probably qualify for EL and are sitting 8th in the league.
We'll see you in the final

Well done LFC, completely dominated Atletico and made them lose it basically. Red was perhaps a little harsh but they finally get punished by the ref for once. Love watching LFC at their best, TAA play making is unbelivable from deep right, reminds me of prime Beckham's undefendable crosses

Unfortunately we seem to be playing a strong team against Porto since Klopp is still stubborn about this even after losing Jota for the same situation last time for 4 months. Best of luck to Milan.

Fat chance we scrap away with a draw let alone with a win with Leao, Rebic, Tomori and Maignan
Hope we don't make EL, our efforts should be in the League not in Rijkaardistan

Thuglitico trying to get Giroud sent off
Such a shit team.
Milan the better team, but toothless in attack.

Away goal rule changed so quietly that I've realized just now that Milan are above Atletico and not the opposite
at this point they 've even serious chances to pass the group, it depends on how Liverpool will face match
But Nishanky promised the red carpet so...

Re: Champions League 2021/22 | Group B
Atleti get too much hate here I've noticed for well around a decade but fuck them as they deserved no point last match day and today was no difference.
And finally MESSIas comes into play and justifies the game as Milan may sneak through but LFC next will end that hope though would be a dream for me to see both go through in what is a staggeringly tough group.
Proud of the fight shown today and that it was done in Madrid.

Re: Champions League 2021/22 | Group B
Oh shit, this gonna come bite me in the ass but hey atleast Milan still has a chance. I do hope Klopp will play string players but I doubt it. He hasn't learnt from losing Jota for 4 months last season in a meaningless wrapped up Group stage game. You can expect some of the same as against Porto, a mixture of academy, B team and a couple of first teamers but with players like Milner, Keita back by that time he would use them for match fitness which would mean players like Morton won't play.
That said Milan can still beat us and I just want Thugletico to finish 4th in the group so if that means accepting defeat against Milan, so be it.
