I honestly respect him for that. He managed to win titles everywhere he went, even at United where it wasn't easy.

He only failed to win something with Spurs. Conte also failed with them, so there's a slight chance the fault is not his

Mou didn't fail at spurs. They won a mickey mouse cup that he got them into the final for. It was peak pettiness by Levy to fire him before that final was played.

I could be wrong but this is Roma's first trophy in over ten years?! Last thing I barely remember them winning is Coppa Italia.

Correct. This is our first major title since the Coppa back in '08. This is the first European title we've won since the Inter-Cities Fair Cup back in 1961. This is also our first UEFA title as well.

Absolutely historic night for this club.

Roma is a great winner to inaugurate the conference league. Once they overcame Bodo/Glimt nothing could stop them

what was up with mancini during the celebrations? is that dude okay? there where like 2 incidents where it looked like he wanted to fight his teammates....at least it looked that way

Logged in to congratulate my boy McLewis for what's a still very surprising end to the season in a freshly made European title.

Roma I always have had a soft spot for and while I regretfully couldn't catch this game it was quite a tense search to see who won and glad it ended in a classic Mourinho 1-0.

Jose himself I've come to appreciate like SAF over time and his emotions in the semi-finals were very endearing. Most charismatic manager in football.

This should be the monkey off Roma's back in some ways and is quite a win for them given their back luck as I generally have seen them with the most (debatable) bad luck along with Arsenal, in my opinion.

Yeah I saw that. Really pissed me off. Felix wasn't doing anything wrong there. I hope more comes of that and I hope the club investigates, but I feel like this is going to get overshadowed by the celebrations.

Congrats to Roma n McLewis, perhaps this could be the European mental block over. Next season will be playing in Europa League right?

Separately as a Mou hater I gonna downplay this to say they were the favourites anyway to win it apart from Spurs who went out early, n I just keep remembering Mou used to say cups like Europa n Carabao Cup dont belong to him, n nowadays he cries about winning the Conference?

And yeah, we go straight into the EL group stage next season. I don't know if that will be our next target, but logically it would make a lot of sense. A lot will depend on how well the summer mercato goes for us. Me? I think we need to focus purely on just staying in the top 4. That's it. We are not 2010 Inter.
