I really think it's interesting that many players seem to perform at a high level when they're well into their 30s nowadays. That hasn't traditionally been a common sight. Sports science has naturally become more advanced, but it's still fascinating that it's become so common for players to sustain a high level past the average age where they'd typically see a significant decline in the past.

I remember Raul experiencing a short resurgence at Schalke when he was 32, but even then, the decline in speed and stamina that became evident around the 30 year mark was still very clear to see. I imagine the average age for when top players start experiencing a steep decline in physical fitness has gone up by quite a few years compared to 10-15 years ago.

Make the Villarreal loss so much more strange, considering Frankfurt beat us n we beat Villarreal while Bayern are way better than Frankfurt.

Just shows that whoever can or did the job of BL titles taking away from Bayern is almost like a mission impossible . It is just unbelievable that even after trying other clubs are not able to match Bayern in terms of financial muscle and football.

Playing fewest games in a season from top leagues also helps, as they can be fitter per game in every competition. Bundesfodder should absorb 38 game season if they want to be taken seriously.
