Re: The 2021/22 Season
Lacazette and AMN should be ahead of Auba for penalties. What a shit pen

Re: The 2021/22 Season
Auba has a frustrating penalty taking technique. He needs the keeper to move the wrong way. I've always preferred pen takers to remove the keeper from the equation and just go for the corners.
Frustrating game so far, in general. Front four aren't playing well enough and Watford keep fouling everyone.

Smith Rowe's flair for deflected goals might just give us a shitty 1-0 win.
He now joins Anelka, Reyes and Fabregas as an u21 player to score in three straight games for Arsenal.

This dropping deep after getting a lead shit has to stop.
If we rock up at Anfield with this gameplan we'll get destroyed.

3 points. A game to move on from quickly, I think.
Liverpool (A), Newcastle (H) and United (A) are our next three after the int break.
Everton (A) and West Ham (H) to come in December as well.
Huge two months to come during a period we traditionally struggle in. Won't have Partey, Elneny, Pepe or Auba for December, either.
If we're close to the top four at the start of 2022 I'll start believing CL qualification is possible.

Re: The 2021/22 Season
between Watford, the ref and Aubameyang that game couldn't have been a more awful experience... Glad it's over. Hellfire awaiting us at Anfield two weeks from now, let's see how this little recent revival in the team copes with it.

Re: The 2021/22 Season
They're departing late December, iirc. Don't know the exact date but hopefully they'll be available for most of it.
They'll definitely miss the City and Spurs games in January.

Re: The 2021/22 Season
Partey will be the biggest miss. Laca should do well enough up top. But yea wing depth will suddenly look empty without Pepe and an out-of-form Martinelli

Re: The 2021/22 Season
I've been impressed with Eddie in his cameos this season so hopefully he can be decent when Auba is away.
I think we have to count liverpool as a defeat and spurs as a defeat (conte, new coach effect etc) anyways.
I agree that if by feb/march we are a point or two within the top 4 (or 4th if we are lucky) then CL might be on the menu. It's just we have to hope Ole is IN and Moyes' magnificent Hammers are fatigued due to europe. And of course no resurgence by Spurs

Re: The 2021/22 Season
Really enjoying looking at the table again. Another good result, encouraging performances around the team.
AMN is going to need to be at this level and better come January, Ben White was terrific. That run to set up ESR was supreme quality.
Enjoy the good waves while they last, this is a young team headed for ups and downs. Gotta find positives in a run like this. Lots of likeable players, many from the academy. Some destined for the very top, that's nothing to be taken for granted.
Enjoy the next two weeks

Played pretty well today. Swiveled through the box and was about to score a right-footed worldie but Aubameyang slid in to poke in Odegaard's shot which was headed for the back of the net. Flag went up like the infamous video of Nani stealing a Ronaldo goal
About the game overall, I'd add it could have very well been 3 or 4-0. Watford were lucky to escape an earlier sending off. Auba was very poor with his penalty and finishing in general. We were, for the most part, an attacking threat the full 90 and were unlucky not to have scored more.

Not at all, we are there for the taking. We have no idea what to play with some injuries.

if we can get into halftime 0-0, maybe. Otherwise, let's just be honest here, you guys always roll us over at Anfield, and it won't be any different this time around

Worst case this will probably put a halt on any new transfers. Best case it forces him to sell.

Like anyone else, I have my gripes with the Kroenkes but, genuine question here, who would you like to take over the club and what do you see being the positives in that scenario?
