Spinazzola out is huge for Italy, hes been great for them, especially tactically.

de lorenzo is still missing out Doku often
if any opportunity may come out for Belgium its from De Lorenzo's flank....

Sad for Spina
He had his fair share of injuries. This one seemed to hurt a lot.

Very poor from Belgium, just not good enough to beat a good Italy side. Pretty sure becos a lot of them will be past their prime in the next major Tourny.

Italy clearly been time wasting though GK was getting treatment for 2 mins alone...
Belgium given 10 more mins wouldnt make a difference though, Italy just not allowing them to play and they not good enough to improvise any real chance throughout.

Belgium .... and to extend Italy had missing finishing badly this game tbh this should have been a a lot more high scoring game. given how this game went like end to end action

Went into this as a neutral, but after the BS penalty I cheered for Italy hard.
But the first 65 minutes were pure footballing beauty. Ref was atrociously bad.

lol actually dollarumma ok fair enough
well i guess Italy brought extra defender on Toloi later on to make it like 5-3-2 almost
Belgium is probably one of those most talented team that should have capitalized so much on international level though, they should have won something important by now

yea that pk was pretty dubious. like after Doku went past Di lorenzo he just fell on ground.
ref was kinda making strange decision just because player from both side were surrounding him like he didnt place his own authority
yea the last 70 min was craziness ... belgium should have been scored atleast one or two...

spinazolla probably one of the best Italy player is probably out of Euro...
i have less faith in emrson he hasnt played forever
i still think England has biggest likelyhood to win this competition given all the talent and depth they have .. they are better team than italy overall

World cup 2022 will be the last chance to win something for this belgium generation
Most of their guys are around 30 years old they should make it, after that no guarantees. They don't seem to have another "golden" generation coming any time soon.

Re: EURO 2020 - QF : Italy - Belgium
thought that if de bryune couldnt pull strings i thought thorgen would do all the damage, but i have to say Jeremy Doku has arguably the biggest threat

Re: EURO 2020 - QF : Italy - Belgium
Italy great as team but on individual level Italy is still lacking a lot. for starter ... goalscorer is a problem.... i would have even preferred Caputo ....
immobile and belotti are so difficult to read on international level .... this game was so open for immobile and he keeps making atrocious decisions

A profile like Moise Kean could be useful
Next time he'll be there imo, different profile, Immobile cannot be trusted and that much is a certainty just like death and taxes

Re: EURO 2020 - QF : Italy - Belgium
Massive game for Italy. A very soft penalty to concede, in exactly the place where speed merchants love to buy penalties with balls they would otherwise be unable to do anything with.
Sure, Belgium missed some key chances, but so did Italy, and they played much better for the majority of the match. Insigne man of the match for Italy, as he is honestly the key man for most offensive moves.
One major disappointment is losing Spinazzola (it looks like that's it for him for this Euro). He was one of the best players in the tournament so far, and he is absolutely key to how the team plays. The difference between himself and his backup is huge.
Next up is Spain, who has been our bogey team since 2008. Honestly, I don't feel confident now that the team has some injury issues, and the CFs have proven to be wasteful with their chances.
This a team playing above its weight, but since its playing as a "team", then maybe we can expect great things.
