I didn't get why they bothered to ask. They should've done it regardless. What could UEFA have done in retroperspective? Nothing, me thinks.

As for the double pivot. I dont think that was the reason they lost to Germany, they were given so many tactical things to solve and couldnt cope. The narrow German front 3 forced the back 4 narrow and then the advanced wingbacks caused havoc time after time. The double pivot didnt want to drop onto Kai or Muller because of the passing threat of Kroos and they often got stuck in between. Credit to Germany for a great gameplan, or at least it was a matter of matching up well.
I am not against playing Sanches, but im not sure he has the defensive qualities. Whenever I have seen him in deep midfield, he looks lost and doesnt know where to be and when. Though I do agree Danilo and William is redundant against certain match ups.
How about Danilo and Neves/Moutinho and playing Renato in Bruno's place. I don't think Felix would replace Bruno, if he's starting, he'd be in Jota's place
I like Neves, so no objection for me on that.
I dont think Felix would play over Bruno either, he isnt leaving the starting 11 I am sure.
But I do think defensively, he could easily play because Bruno often jumps forward to form a 442 in the defensive phase anyway and it is up to Jota and Bernando to form a 4 with the 2 pivots. I think defensively, it might be better for Felix to play instead of Bruno, rather than Jota or Bernando but I dont see that happening either way.
Interesting. I agree with you. But yeah, I don't think he will replace Bruno with Felix, perhaps he'd replace Bruno with Renato

Portugal (4-3-3): Patricio; Semedo, Pepe, Dias, Guerreiro; Moutinho, Danilo, Sanches; Silva, Ronaldo (c), Jota
France (4-2-3-1): Lloris (c); Koundé, Varane, Kimpembe, Hernandez; Kanté, Pogba; Tolisso, Griezmann, Mbappe; Benzema
___
Germany (3-4-3): Manuel Neuer (c); Matthias Ginter, Mats Hummels, Antonio Rudiger; Joshua Kimmich, Ilkay Gundogan, Toni Kroos, Robin Gosens; Kai Havertz, Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane.
Hungary (3-5-2): Peter Gulacsi; Endre Botka, Willi Orban, Attila Szalai; Loic Nego, Laszlo Kleinheisler, Adam Nagy, Andras Schafer, Attila Fiola; Roland Sallai, Adam Szalai (c).
___
Joao Felix apparently was just recovering from injury, that's why he didn't feature before. Fernando Santos actually opted with Moutinho-Danilo-Sanches midfield, it seems more functioning and balanced on paper. Let's see what they'll do
Muller is on the bench due to slight knee injury

Wow, Tolisso for Rabiot, Kounde for Parvard.
CR in pycho mood singing the nation anthem Loool.... lets see if Mbappe can outshine him.
Both teams know draw would do though, but I think France want revenge definitely for 2016.

I think they're going for the win, or they should be. If they draw and Germany win then France would finish 2nd and Portugal would finish 3rd. It's not confirmed yet, but 3rd place will face Belgium, 2nd place will face England, and 1st place will face Switzerland.

Thanks Superstone. Definitely big incentive to top the group then. Do u know where I can find a clear tournament bracket as in a picture of the bracket? All I find are those ones listing winner vs match xx winner, group xx runner ups, etc, too confusing
Germany behind. What a day. Never knew or at least felt the tension so much of a group of death. Used to think they are quite unfair, but am loving it this time for some reason

Re: EURO 2020 - Group F
Wtf is up with the commentators calling the penalty controversial? That was a dangerous play and Lloris lucky he didn't get sent off. Nothing controversial about it being ordered a pen.

It's a dangerous play, but I think Lloris was just trying to punch the ball, which Danilo got first. I could be wrong though
