Parking the bus and praying for some random goal. It has worked in the last few games, not so much at the start of the season. The only bright spot was the second half versus Torino, the rest was utter shit

Last year. after 8 games, we had the same number of points, more goals for and less goals against an we were playing better football. All while having a rookie coach and almost no training camp.

Re: Allegri Sack Watch | Juventus Edition v2.0
That's a bit superficial, Pirlo started well but wasn't able to build on it and our season got derailed. Also he had Ronaldo, also Pirlo was building on a scudetto winning season by Sarri.
Allegri is building on a last-match 4th place finish while losing Ronaldo after the season began. And improving, the momentum is positive.
Our defense looks really solid, Szczesny seems to be doing better, Bernardeschi and De Sciglio are back to good levels so far, Bentancur is somewhat useful after a horrible last season, etc.
The players are clearly enjoying this period and seeing results.

Max's team is playing hella ugly but he has managed to turn it around. Team's most important players in Bonucci and Chiellini both stated the ill timing of Cristiano's last minute departure set them back years since he is unable to play in a system that isnt built around him, and the effects were obvious.
But 23 1-0's in a row isnt pretty but they are results and his performance v Chelsea was the peak of what is going on so far.
Players had always a love-hate relationship with Max but he leads them very well regardless. de Ligt seems to love him.

Re: Allegri Sack Watch | Juventus Edition v2.0
We still suffer the tactical void injected by Pirlovid-19 into our players DNA
In the last few games i see Bentancur more agressive, it's Locatelli who holds/distributes the ball and Arthur will help him at those tasks, Rabiot is playing decent in some left-back role since he is not in tight spaces situations he makes less mistakes, McKennie is the piston who goes forward, Bernardeschi seems like a pro player again. What more can we realistically expect from such limited midfield
For me defense is beautiful, give me effective counter attacks i don't ask for more. We cannot play tiki taka with this squad. Guys like Chiesa, Morata, Kulu, Kean are not meant for that. Instead they should develop a better chemistry, more awareness and less improvisation, it helps to finish scoring chances.

Saying that Pirlo inherited a scudetto team is what is superficial. It was actually a team that barely got to the finish line, just like it did the two years prior. So, from this pov, there's no difference between Allegri, Pirlo and Sarri, they were all dealt the same hand. Also, it was actually a very different team
Pirlo didn't start well. Won the first game, then had three draws, including one with Crotone. Then, just like Allegri, he gained some momentum, but it just didn't last. I'm sure this year it will though, since it's being backed by impressive play in all areas of the pitch.
Defensive solidity? Yeah, 'cause we park the bus. Pirlo did it at times too and we looked solid, look at the cup games against Inter. Anyone can park a bus
As for Ronaldo, I don't see us creating a shit ton of chances and our attackers continually wasting them, so I doubt a poacher would make a difference.

Bonucci said the opposite, that they are more of a team now because they don't have to play for one guy. As for de Ligt, watch him ask to leave at the end of the season

We actually still suffer the tactical void created by Allegri in his first five years. When your attempts at making a huge change are half hearted, then the results are basically zero

7 per year, the remaining 2 are bonuses, That would be a gross total of 39 after this year. A place in the CL brings in at least 60 mil, so it wouldn't be that difficult of a decision as it may seem.
Fire Agnelli, too, bring in Conte, he builds a kick ass team, after two years he quits, you bring back Allegri, who still has a year left, and he wins the CL.

Jjuventus struggling is great for the league.
Also, what's their last good signing? Paying 70m for a jobber like Arthur Melo and you get what you deserve.

Their transfers over the last 5 years are a horrible and all over the place, only Chiesa, De Ligt and Locatelli probably have the quality required for a top team, the rest of their activity is a hot mess, as is their team.
Buying Ronaldo was, of course, the ultimate catalyst for the collapse, hate to say I told you so

Arthur didn't cost 70 Million, that was an accounting trick.
It was basically a cash trade with Pjanic going for (I think) 60 Million or 50 Million to Barca.

No, it's not. The lesser team getting stronger is what makes the league better, not the top team turning into shit. No one is interested in a farmers league
As for the last good signings: if you're looking only the value of the players, then de Ligt two years ago and Chiesa last year were great and McKennie last year and Locatelli this year were good. But is de Ligt a good signing if Allegri keeps him on the bench because he prefers a 34 and a 37 year old?

Total value of sponsorships was 87 mil before buying Ronaldo and right now is 146. Complete collapse.
What actually killed us was that our president is an emotional idiot who is in love with a has-been coach

Re: Allegri Sack Watch | Juventus Edition v2.0
Ronaldo truly was a bad buy given they could not back him with the expected team that wasnt a mismatch of poor purchases.
Yes Covid times totally sunk Juve's costs thereby the team was basically reliant on a superstar who scored most of their goals but so astronomic were his fees they could not really buy anyone of note.
And then as a result of the timing of his departure pretty much most of the notable members in Juve agree that is what has set their season back this far. Max all things considering has done a good job if we take that into context as there is no balance in this midfield let alone a true creative outlet beyond Locatelli.
Unless he is reinforced for winter it will be a long and arduous season for Juventini.
