i leave out players like Iverson and Harden because they are more shooting guards/combo guards. I haven't seen Magic and Isiah obviously but they are usually the names mentioned by the oldheads in this ranking

I like the two days between games. Playoffs have been pissing me off a bit. You're telling me every other night I have to spend my night watching basketball for 3 hours?

Don't get me wrong, I'm LOVING this playoff run, but it was starting to get like the only thing I do in my free time is watch basketball

Obviously it's my choice to watch or not (and I've skipped one or two games throughout the playoffs either cuz I had something else going on or I just didn't want to watch), but we're in the midst of our first finals run for 50 years so obviously I'm gonna try and watch the vast majority of games

that was big time by the Bucks... this was the Jrue Holiday game! Giannis was immense as well, and Middleton not that far off

Suns lost this game when Monty all of a sudden forgot how to coach basketball and they went Booker iso for the entire 3rd quarter, unbelievable stuff Laughing

really hopes this goes 7 games though, Suns do or die next game

I don't know how to feel. On one hand, this team has been resilient as hell all playoffs. On the other hand, Wisconsin sports history tells me that we lose the next game and then game 7 in either a blowout or a nailbiter. Probably after being up by a fair amount.

This series aint over till its over.

Book hesitated too much on that play should have pulled up earlier at the elbow when he had the chance, instead ran into trouble. But that's what the finals will do to you. I wonder if we will see close-out nerves from Bucks in game 6 and how much.

Sure but that's kinda what good defenders make you do.

Even when you're not being guarded by them directly in the moment, they make you second guess yourself.

I'm sure Book knows what he did wrong, but he's gonna need help. He's having to do too much right now.

I've given Booker criticism and he obviously got bailed out by the refs on a boneheaded play the other day that would have affected the perception of his finals performance but all credit to him, he's been absolutely fantastic and the Suns are a dumpster fire outside of him. I don't mean to get arrogant here at all, the Suns are a great team and they should have won last night except that we managed to shoot even better somehow. They may still win. But they are a dumpster fire when he sits.

They're +/- without him on the floor is awful.

Btw how people are reacting to Giannis basically tells me Twitter would have hated Shaq.

Bunch of nonsense no skill arguments and how Middleton is Batman etc.

The guy is being dominant AF, has the best 4th quarter +- in the series, scored the most 4th quarter points in the series and before yesterday the difference between Giannis not sitting and sitting was like +65 over 4 games.

It's incredibly annoying to see the inability to seperate dominance and aesthetics.

The guy should be getting Lebron/Durant level praise but instead people are making excuses for his dominance and giving credit elsewhere.

@CB i think Bucks match up well with Suns... Suns haven't looked themselves this series. I could make the argument that they maybe might have still been the better team in most stretches this series... but i think the Bucks have figured them out by just matching and then upstaging their intensity. Bucks have a lot of length and athleticism... to a degree they haven't faced yet these playoffs, and i think that's bothered the Suns, especially Paul.

the way back for them this series is Suns have to focus on the Paul and Ayton pick n roll, because Ayton can eat, and if he eats, he will get enough attention to open up lanes more for Paul to assert his game. But they tried to do too much of that in game 3 and as a result Booker got outcasted. I think they've been trying to get a good balance of both - and they haven't gotten it right yet because of Bucks length and athleticism (especially Jrue on Paul and Booker) and Bud for once actually tinkering with his lineups and putting out different combinations out there to keep the Suns second-guessing.

I could not agree more with Mole's last post regarding Giannis

But in sports, and more so in the NBA it seems, some "fans" get bored easily of a dominant player instead always seeking for the PERFECT player who does not exist. And since Giannis has obvious weakness it open the doors for all kinds of stupid narratives. Superstars have a shorter leash than good players.

In these finals the Suns have become predictable a bit, their all-around contribution is not as effective as in previous series, after a 3 game remontada i think Bucks win the chip tuesday Thumbs up

i wish the best to my bud CBucks so he wins his final, i did not have the same luck in hockey and it hurts

Game 6 tonight. I think this is where it ends.

Suns I think are running out of answers and the Bucks best players seem to be getting the best of the Suns.

I think every game the Suns are getting out rebounded and turning it over more right?

I heard Monty Williams saying thats the difference 2 games ago and its fixable, well I dont think its so fixable.

Good for Giannis too, he doesnt have to hear all the crap about not winning a title. Doesnt seem to bother him that much anyway but still.

Giannis got a bit lucky tbh. Not taking anything away from him, but against world class opposition his fallacies would have become more evident. Suns are a class team with a great coach, but a class below where a healthy Lakers would have been for example. Also Middleton bailing him out in the clutch.

But he put humself in a position to get lucky, so props to him. Now he's gonna be all about I told you so, bla bla but in reality his shortcomings are still there and will play a greater role next season.

Giannis has discovered a new facet to his game though. Dude was bully ball in games 2/3 and then in 4/5 he's found a form I've never seen from him. He's conserving his energy much more, his vision is much better and he's almost playing as a facilitator. He's picking his spots on offense very well.

He's playing the high IQ basketball we've always wanted from him. He's a guy who is a very emotional player. You see it in his free throws. When he's confident and the team is playing well and he's playing well, he tends to shoot FT's decently. When he's off, he shoots terribly. This can change throughout the game, much less game to game. You also see it with charges. He has two turnovers in the last 3 or 4 games or something. The dude is not forcing anything right now.

Just incredible. I think tonight we'll see him facilitating again but I think he'll be more aggressive than he has been in games 4/5 as well

Yep he's playing out of the post a lot more so of his shortcomings only really his free throw shooting actually matters.

It's very possible they won't win it next year but it won't be because he's gonna get exposed for some apparent shortcomings.

Seriously tho the Giannis criticism in these finals annoys me.

Dude is averaging like 34-12-6 on 60%, most points in 4th quarters, two of the most memorable plays in finals history, two 40 point games and there's like a +50 difference between Giannis not sitting and sitting in the series.

Yet people wanna act like because he's not hitting the hesi pull up that he's having a run of the mill finals.

I didn't have Vibe down as a fully paid up member of Bag Twitter tbh.

All I'm saying is that Giannis didn't suddenly solve all the deficiencies in his game, but maybe Suns aren't all that good when push comes to shove.

Finals without LeBron aren't real finals anyway. Everything he's done should be multiplied by approximately between 0.5 - 0.75 to get a clearer picture and mathematically equalize the lack of LeBron in there.

When 34/12/6 becomes 25.5/9/4.5 it isn't all that impressive, is it.
