Real life Habs (hockey club) are also in conf finals which occurs rarely
I love our Wisconsin stud Cole Caufield god bless the land where he grew up
Would be great if we both win our respective chips

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
If the Bucks lose the conference finals, Bud loses his job.
Bud has to make the finals. I am still unsure if that's enough for Bud. If we lose badly in the championship series, I think he would be gone. If we lose a close fought series, I think he probably does enough to keep his job. If we win, I think he keeps his job.
But I have no real rhyme or reason, I've read the same reports as everyone else which is that the Bucks have reiterated multiple times that Bud and the Bucks have to go deep in the playoffs or he's gone. It depends on how deep is "deep", but the Bucks have been to the ECF with Bud before...I think it's fair to say the FO expects him to be able to go at least one step further with this team and make the NBA finals

He needs a statement win in 5 to gain back some credibility
It can happen, i believe in Giannis tbh, he just beat an immense Kevin Durant. I doubt he gets shaken up by Embiid or even worse Capela, in the following series.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Last couple thoughts:
Jrue was bad BUT his performance today was still light years from Bledsoe. Bledsoe shrinks when the moment is big. Jrue hit two extremely clutch jumpers down the stretch even though he's been struggling hard with his shot. Pretty sure he had another 3 earlier in the fourth that was timely as well. Bledsoe would never even try, or he'd throw up some prayer of a 3.
Khris was 5-10 in 4th plus OT with a clutch steal, some FT's, and overall great play. Held Durant to 1-4 when defending him. Again, like Jrue, it's hard to say he had a good game, but he showed up when it mattered. I've been watching Khris for a long time now and he's always been pretty clutch.
Finally, even though we won, those refs were absolutely fucking awful and maybe it's poor to complain about it after a win, and I'm obviously biased...but I think everyone saw who had the great whistle tonight

Couldn't be happier.
I just happen to dislike about 3 players in the entire NBA and they all play for the Nets.
Wish I could have watched, but covid night shifts. Sounds like it was a game to remember.

Not watched live because it begun 2:30 AM here .. Recorded on Sky and watched this morning , finished now. Avoided every possible spoiler
Incredibile match both both sides, unreal Giannis, the mental leap made by Bucks compared with last 2 years is incredibile. Honestly never feared seriously to not getting It this time.

easy there Robes, i agree with Mole, what i saw from the Bucks this series wasn't really that inspiring considering the big picture
i'll take a fully fit and available Suns over them in the Finals.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
both teams still just feeling each other out
Suns look a bit slower, sloppier and out of rhythm, but they're shooting well. Fatigue might set in for Clips in the second half, but their bench/role players are offering good minutes so far.
Ayton needs to eat whenever he is on court so that the lanes can open up for Booker

Simmons is an absolute joke.
It's not just the shooting, he does absolutely nothing offensively outside of passing to the open guy.
Which is a very limited skillset when you're not committed anyone.

Joel Embiid: "I'll be honest. I thought the turning point was when we — I don't know how to say it — is when we had an open shot and we made one free throw..."

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
So much happened, jeez.
Tough way to go out for Brooklyn, but I think in the end injuries in the end was too much. Put too big a burden on KD and as ridiculous as he played, it was perhaps asking too much and that final shot was someone who didnt have the energy to get a better one. You cant expect 2 twisting the wrong way, spinning toe on the 3 point fadeaways in the same game.
I think this puts them in place for next season though, this years of experience will help and if they can get more than 6 games with the big 3 plus some more role players, they win it all next season I think. Joe Harris deadly 3 point shooter, but did anyone believe at all that shot in OT was going in? I didnt.
Gobert was terrible. Just like Giannis for some reason hasnt been "allowed" to win the MVP this season because, I dont want to hear anything about Gobert as DPOY. He is good at one single thing on defence and even that, he is wildly overrated to some degree. Mann, George and Jackson all took it right at him and often he didnt even leave the ground to contest.
Is Kahwi officially done for the season? This seems unclear to me. I think without him, George is so much better because hes more aggressive, but they will need him to beat the Suns. Book was absolutely on fire in game 1. But yet again, I cant understand how he is shooting over Rondo, Mann or they going over the pick (dumb decision when its set 40 feet from the rim) and the big is sagging low so its an open look. This new era of analytic defence makes no real word sense whatsoever. Paul George, just take him ffs, dont switch anything and if you get screened, blitz it, take it out of his hands and if everyone else lights you up it is what is is because Book isnt going to miss open shots.
Sixers

lmao Sixers, Doc and Simmons in the mud... with the way the series played out i was not surprised at all by ATL winning. They've been the 2nd best team in fourth quarters behind Suns this postseason. They've been the surprise package definitely this playoffs, and i'll stop sleeping on them... Trae plays as fearless as anybody and the rest of the team just seem to know their role and how to fit in... big kudos to coach Nate McMillan, came in middle of the season and changed them around completely. With the way Bucks played v Nets, i'm not gunna count out ATL at all.

Keep forgetting about the Warriors tbh.
Hard to predict, many questions. I hope they come back strong, at least top 4 in the West with the 2 LA teams and I assume the Suns.

I actually fault him more for his lack of offence these playoffs. He’s gotta be able to abuse small match ups and get easy points and I just didn’t see that from him against the Clippers. I think it’s a deserved inclusion given how decorated he is (contract + accolades)

Oh for sure the fact he couldn't abuse people shorter than him by like 7 inches is a big problem.
It's the reason why the Suns will win the conference finals imo, Ayton can actually abuse switches in a way Gobert can't.
His offence was a bigger issue than his defence i agree.

1. Simmons.
2. In a small way Embiid, too. Maybe he wasn't 100%, but he failed to be as dominant as he could've been.
3. All of the Lakers' centers.
4. Michael Porter Jr.
5. Porzingis.
