That’s not NCAA player of the year lol.

That’s the Tournament’s most outstanding player. So that might be why. Because it’s 23 year olds playing against kids.

The last NCAA player of the year to turn out well was Zion and freshmen have only received it three times overall. And Cade didn’t get it this year.

All in all I’m struggling to decipher whatever argument you think you’re making.

i am not trying to make any argument with that, was just curious. I'm not that well-versed in college basketball, i only watch highlights about hyped players here and there.

so the NCAA player of the year is for the college regular season? and March Madness is the NCAA playoffs which also gets its own best player award?

Yeah pretty much. Naismith award the “real” one is called.

Luke Garza from Iowa won it. Always some old dude winning it.

If an actual top freshmen prospect wins that award they’re as sure a thing as can be.
