UCL QF 2020/21 | Bayern Munich Vs PSG

Watching Neymar is full flight really is a joy to witness.

I didn't expect Bayern to be able to score in this match, but then friggin Choupo-Moting appears on the scoresheet It never seizes to amaze me how players are able to score goals against their former clubs on such a consistent basis in football. The extra motivation seems to really make a difference.

PSG's midfielders are fucking trash. Not a single one capable of hitting a simple ping to Ney or Mbappé despite Bayern giving ample space to do so.

Yeah Bayern has been killing it the whole game in the midfield. PSG would be nothing without Neymar/Mbappe

This is always the case when Veratti is out (which is all the time I'm noticing). Neymar and Mbappe carried the team hard tonight.

How's Bayern's defenders been performing?

It really isn't that hard to play PSG when Veratti is out. Just pressure the midfield and they're incapable of handling... which either starves Neymar/Mbappe of the ball OR they're forced to get the ball in non-dangerous positions.

This is not a balanced team by any stretch.

You are so funny, CB I didn't watch the match. Bayern's defense has been quite poor in the league. Was just curious about how they fared in a big CL game. Hilarious banter, though!

How can anyone praise the QSG performance? On another night, Lewandowski would have eaten this scrub team alive. Bayern had a really bad day both in defence and in front of the goal. Yet they still were superior. Don't let the scoreline fool you.

PSG have been super efficient in front of goal, making the most of their chances this year. They were almost out of the group stage at one point. They just have a couple of clutch players who made the most of their chances against Barcelona and now Bayern

Despite the loss I am still confident Bayern will rip them to shreds in Paris. If only they play their final ball better and Lewandowski is fit, I am confident they will win by a 2 goal margin against QSG.

Now that was a proper intense European knockout tie. Nothing like Liverpool Gramps vs Madrid Gramps.
Thought Bayern completely dominated and were all over PSG. Were it not for poor finishing, better luck and some excellent defending by PSG; Bayern would have won by 3 or more. On the other hand, PSG were super clinical. Scored from nearly all their chances.

Bayern the better team, but PSG were more clinical. Bayern completely camped them in their box. Attack after attack. They were missing their two best finishers and Neuer made an uncharacteristic mistake. Those details make the difference. The second leg will be interesting. PSG will be able to hold on to the ball better once Paredes and Verrati are back in midfield. Bayern are dealing with an injury crisis as both Sule and Goretzka are injured now too. Looks like we may get an oil money semi finals.

Funny you say this. PSG was clinical something that they missed in the final last season. What more can you expect. I agree Bayern were playing much better and created more goal scoring opportunity but PSG thoroughly deserved the victory.

Regardless of who eventually lifts up the trophy, Bayern is undoubtedly the best team in Europe. 31-6 in shots is a staggering difference at this level.

Bayern had 33 - 7 shots vs Atletico in the 2nd leg and still lost in the semis back in 2016.

Seeing a pattern here...

If they are the best team they should be able to lift the trophy too. They are currently the most entertaining team but won't call them best if they lose the tie.
