I really like Fazio, but he's just too slow for Fonseca's system where we often play a high line. If we were playing deeper, he would be a lot more useful given his leadership abilities, height and passing.

As it stands, I'd rather see Spinazzola at CB again.

Edit: Fonseca has confirmed Spinazzola will play on the left. Looks like we'll get Fazio at CB after all.

Spinazzola at CB?? Seems like a way to neutralize Spinazzola's best qualities and handicapping Roma's attack

If Morata goes missing, there's no CF, if Arthur is injured, we don't have anyone to run the midfield, if Chiesa is missing, we have no threat from the flanks. If Mckennie doesn't play, we have no hustlers in midfield. A poorly constructed squad made to heavily rely on a select group of players.


Kinda feel sad for Ronaldo now that he has to waste his last remaining good years with this hapless group especially our clown midfielders.

Yes, signing Ramsey on a free is the downfall of Juventus. The move singlehandedly ruined the team almost 2 years later

Yes, it is definitely worse to sign a player for free. Juventus is suffering the karma from not paying a transfer fee to sign Ramsey. His self esteem has suffered because he does not have a hefty price tag attached to his move. He also feels no pressure to perform since he signed for free

Pretty much how it looks like. Ever since Allegri left there hasn't been a proper structure to Juve. Pirlo might have promise but he needs more transfer windows to build the team in his image.

It is a random collection of players besides the backline. It is not to do with Allegri or Pirlo. Neither decide the transfers. It is to do with the last years of Marotta and the first of Paratici. There is a mismatch of players for any one system of tactics.

We have had a giant number of injuries, a new coach without preseason, and an unpolished squad. The recipe for a poor season.

I am very certain that we would have won tonight with Dybala, Cuadrado, Morata, and Arthur. That's the issue of the injuries, but not the only issue. The players we had available should be a better fit with each other. Then also, it is was still a squad that a top coach can get more out of than Pirlo currently does.

Pirlo has shown plenty to be optimistic about for someone that is just starting his coaching career. Fairly certain that he can be great. He can't deliver right now though, in 2021, in such a difficult situation as the injury filled covid season with a squad in transition. Maybe only Max could beat Conte to the scudetto in these circumstances.
