Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Atalanta with a deserved victory. The team needed this kick in the behind, and hopefully, they learn much from it.
On another note, Inter failed to win against Udinese, meaning we are still, by some miracle, first in the table.
I think this makes it clear that this is going to be a scrappy season with several candidates. Based on the performances so far and the potential of each team, I think the candidates are: Milan, Inter, Juve, Napoli, and Atalanta.
Each of these teams has the squad and the tactics to beat any team, but all of them have the capacity to tie against Genoa.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
not mad at those 3 goals but castellejo leao these two.. hope someone from our coaching staff can find tapes made esp. for them
i get that they were picked easily but instead of running back to win ball they complain throwing tantrum on pitch or look uninterested. making mistakes are one thing but looking totally uninterested when something goes against them and sulking is not going to help change game in their favor its happening often with those two when things doesnt go their way. these two can learn from rebic and infact even mandzukic
well deserved win by atalanta. this brings down some of the progress, so for time being hopefully goal is to bring rebic mandzukic upto speed and hopefully hakan and bennacer makes back into the team asap

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
this ends first half of the season - satisfied but at times lot left to be desired when expected to play good football.
still lot to improve on, RW is still a mystery. hopefully we just finish strong by end of the season on top 4 objective and do well in europa league.
overall i am very surprised to see kessie, benaccer, hakan calabria kjaer theo ibra, leao, brahim, play well when it was very unlikely they would repeat second half feat of last season.
second half of season starts against bologna so its opportunity to start fresh.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Feels like Bennacer has been out for ages ffs. When the hell will he come back.
Hopefully Bologna, Crotone and Spezia can get the team back to gear. I have a feeling we're gonna lose a lot this second half against stronger teams. Scrub killing will probably be enough for us to get top 4.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
For me, there were encouraging displays in every match except this one against Atalanta.
Realistically, Milan would still be in this same spot if the balance of luck shifted. In some cases, we were lucky to win, and in others, we were unlucky to draw.
Against the top 6, I think we deserved to win against Napoli, Sassulo, Lazio, and Roma (we tied against Roma). We were lucky to win against Inter. Unlcuky to lose against Juve (the game could have been a draw). And we fully deserved our loss to Atlanta.
That's not a bad record, performance-wise, and I hope we can better it in the second half.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
seems like the title race is legit interesting and tight this season. Will try to catch some games and highlights and get into this final half of the season. Are the games and football at least good and exciting?

As someone who watches Serie A, the Premier League, and some La Liga, I think that Serie A has been the most exciting league this year, with some of the best football as well.
Just look at the results of the top 7 teams against each other.
However, that being said, I expect the league to actually tighten up in the second half of the season, as teams start consolidating their spots instead of attempting to climb through the table.
If you are just looking for pure entertainment, then Roma, Napoli, and Atalanta are bound to be entertaining unless it is the odd 0-0 against Genoa or Torino.

Yup, barely.
It shouldn't been that hard, but that's how we roll.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Juve got only half the points which is a terrible performance
But the draws against Crotone and Benevento hurt much more, vs them there is no excuse we must absolutely win. Those are free points everyone else claim.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Bologna dominated about 10 minutes. Invisible first half from them, 0 shots on target, and their domination was brief in the second one.
In the end Skorupski is very clearly their motm. Could have been a very large scoreline if our forwards were sharper.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
It’s the state of our midfield
And he’s certainly been one of the better performers throughout the season. Scoring in big matches and also providing a lot of energy and movement
Question for my friends. Why were we so selfish today? Finishing aside, it was too much hero ball

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Freaking Napoli, losing to Verona.
They are poised to miss the CL spot for another year. Honestly, this is not something I blame Gattuso for. Napoli bottles at in the front far too often considering the quality of their play.
And this is a match where they were ahead from the first minute.

Gattuso has lost 1/3 of the matches this year in the league with one of best Serie A rosters, another manager would receive more criticism

They were doing the same with Ancelotti though. A very inconsistent team

Gattuso is a good coach. He is just not great, not what Napoli need to take the next step. Carlo and Sarri were a different level.
