Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
also rebic is already way better than leao he is putting some decent press up front ; its very hard to read leao one time he is amazing other time he is complaining and not in mood to play

*Sigh* no one should be surprised, time to put an end to this nonsense that Milan fans are downplaying our chances

I don't even understand how Atalanta got that much of numerical advantage over us when we're not even attacking to begin with.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
we had downplayed expectations but others think otherwise. having said that i had expected better showing than this. this is like utter shambles.
tonali is broken here, kessie is outnumbered outplayed, theo is resigned to play conservative due to yellow. calabria has to be defensive otherwise he will be caught out just like he did on third goal.
again im not angry that we conceded 3 goals but i am very pissed about castilejjo and leao meite offering close to nothing to the game

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
BTW, Romagnoli, despite being somewhat of a defensive liability himself sometimes, is actually very important in marshaling the backline, and we missed that greatly today.
This match surely raised the reputation of Romagnoli, Bennacer, and Hakan. It also exposed Leao, poor Tonali, and even Theo to an extent.
No player covered themselves with any credit.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
well lets hope this serves a good lesson for another couple of matches - this was a close to a disgrace show of atalanta humiliation

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
tonali was okish first half albeit some lack of concentration but second half he has been obliterated

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
This is actually worse than Lile. In that match, we were actually very unlucky at first, and Lile scored from few chances.
Here, we were outplayed for the first time this season (even against Juve, we showed good character), and created little to no chances. In the first half, we had the chance to do something, but we made zero offensive moves that made sense (Theo, Leao, and Castelejo were to blame there).
Also, this exposes the fact that we cannot player well if we are chasing the match for long. If we can't equalize within 20 minutes, we usually get screwed.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
lol and atalanta brings malinovsky a tank of a player at 90 mins ... lol that sums up our humiliation on how much atalanta has to offer from the sidelines ...

Diaz was pretty good. One of the few milan players to be able to say tonight.

i agree i doubt he could have salvaged anything in first half but he was way better choice to start off with head of meite or castielljo

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Tonali is a very good player, but he is not an outstanding player yet.
Diaz showed up more with the negatives of his peers than anything special he did, just by virtue of trying.
This is nearly everyone's worst game.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
I'm surprised by Pessina, looks so good combining up front, but I risk the usual midfielder mirage by Gasperini. Ilicic and Zapata are just ballers, they play and combine so damn well. This front 3 is so good to watch.
If only Papu had stayed as part of the project.

they are too good finding each other no matter what ...
calabria played hella defensive and yet gosens and zapata was drawing both calabria and kjaer out of position so easily
think what surprised me most is that illic is predominantly playing on RW but he can do that anywhere he wants. he even got better after gomez left

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Atalanta with a deserved victory. The team needed this kick in the behind, and hopefully, they learn much from it.
On another note, Inter failed to win against Udinese, meaning we are still, by some miracle, first in the table.
I think this makes it clear that this is going to be a scrappy season with several candidates. Based on the performances so far and the potential of each team, I think the candidates are: Milan, Inter, Juve, Napoli, and Atalanta.
Each of these teams has the squad and the tactics to beat any team, but all of them have the capacity to tie against Genoa.
