Still, he plays for Atalanta, a team good for bringing youngsters to the first team, in a Serie A that is now full of kids breaking through. It makes me wonder why he hasn't been given more of a role if he is indeed so good.

Maybe with him having been sold in summer already, the coaches decided to give those youngsters chances that would actually be around in the future?

Maybe, I'm not questioning whether he is very talented btw, just if he is so stunningly good to have to pay 40m before a player really has first team experience.

Last season, before he was sold to United, he still only played like 20 minutes of Serie A. This season he played 40. Which is still impressive for a teenager of course.

Kulusevski, also from Atalanta, got a 35m move to Juve but after winning Serie A young player of the year as a full starter on loan at Parma. Side note, Atalanta is doing some amazing scouting with Kulu and Diallo getting them ~80m without even having relevant minutes for their first team.

Zaniolo for example moved to Roma for 5m straight out of Inter's primavera as a 18yo and played a great season right away. Kean broke through at like 16 and had double digits Serie A goals for us before his move to Everton which was still cheaper at like 30m.

Seems like a big gamble, I'll be following to see what this massive hype is about.

Yes, we'll be keeping an eye on him..
The talent market is weird, as you say, with some youngsters there's these explosions of transfer sums, sometimes as you describe with very little performance record to go on, but then all over the top leagues and top clubs there are actual teenagers, 17 year old, who get lots of game time and are fantastic, without having much splash on the market before.
Players like Reyna, Musiala, even Sancho before who came for like 7m education fee, maybe it's an advantage when they don't have a huge transfer sum attached to their name? Less pressure? With the sums, high tranfers or free signings, being completely coincidental to stuff like contract lengths, timing etc..

With Diallo and Man United, it will be interesting to see whether the club will actually come back to Sancho next summer.
Last summer it was basically thought to be a done dealio, for some reason Utd didn'T actually follow through(I'd guess the reason being that they'd have needed to sell Pogba to Juve for the funds and then CoVid made a mess of everything).

The atmosphere with the fans seems to have changed, but Sancho of course should still be a top target for the club, and depending on that, the chance that Amand Traore can get at United to find his way into the team will be sizeable, or severely limited.

The squad of a Premier League club in 2021 and not a single black player in it, I'm sorry, it can't be a coincidence, it just can't.

Screw the VAR debate, how many decisive, deflected goals have Man United scored this season? You’d think they were blessed by Zidane.

Raheem Sterling is the first player to miss three consecutive Premier League penalties since Saido Berahino did so between April 2016-September 2017.

A mental midget who will likely never become elite. As good as he is, you can't rely on him in the big moments. City should offer a Son for Sterling swap deal.

Have lost count of how many times Spurs score early, sit back tight the rest of the match, only to get scored on in the last third and only then try to score a 2nd.

How has Mou not learned yet that you can only park the bus with a 2 goal safety net.

i dont know what you guys are talking about. Spurs were brilliant against Fulham and they are not a team built to dominate possession. Fulham were lucky with post and their GK but at the same time they deserved their 1 point because of the bravery.
