Marwin Hitz is one of the worst goalkeepers I've ever seen. I almost expected him to make an amateur mistake before the ball had even been kicked.

Haaland!

Napoli 2-1 Dortmund. Maybe Dortmund can cause an upset, after all.

Napoli 3-1 Dortmund.

That's probably game over. Dortmund are struggling far too much defensively. Mats Hummels has looked particularly slow, hesitant and sub-par in this match.

Reus comes off, on comes Real Madrid loanee, Reinier.

It's been a long day lol. I think I got the names mixed up because of Immobile. I watched an interview where Immobile talked about snubbing Napoli several years ago, and that interview is always fresh in my mind whenever I hear his name.

I love Guerreiro, but his chance conversion has been absolutely horrible in this match.

I think Karius is more ambitious than that Razz But yeah, I honestly do think Karius would've been a substantial upgrade on Hitz. You can't make mistakes this frequently as a reserve keeper.

I'm surprised by this result, Lazio got smashed by Atalanta and Sampdoria. This win might prevent an early crisis.

How surprised do you think I was, when Tokmac Nguen, a player who failed to nail down a starting spot at both of my local teams, shook off Pique and hammered the ball into the top corner (ruled offside)? Laughing Got Pique sent off as well Heart

Disappointed in Dortmund today as Lazio have been well out of sorts and form this season and thoroughly outplayed BVB.

And Karius is an upgrade over no one and is genuinely the worst goalkeeper in the world.

Hitz was not only poorly positioned, but he reacted slowly, seemed to cringe as the ball approached him, and somehow managed to head the ball into his own net. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he then shook his head and looked towards his team mates, suggesting he was not at fault for it.

And that would be fine if it was a rare occurrence. accidents do happen, even with the best goalkeepers. However, Hitz has been so poor every time I’ve watched him play for Dortmund, that I actually visualized him making another error, as soon as I saw that he was on the team sheet. I can’t think of a single, good quality that he has.

At least, Karius looked solid in the one match I saw from Besiktas, two years ago. And while that may not amount to much, it’s more than I’ve seen in a handful of appearances from Hitz. Even when he makes easy saves, there’s a sense of uncertainty in everything he does. I really wasn’t exaggerating when I said he’s possibly the worst goalkeeper I’ve ever seen. The worst type of goalkeeper is one that looks like he’s walking on egg shells, even when the ball isn’t within his nearby vicinity, and that’s how I would describe Hitz.

I would not wish current Karius on any team in this world even in school leagues Laughing

I cannot stand him. Couldnt care less that he walked up to the Liverpool stand in the final crying like a bitch hoping for a YNWA, just because he single handedly screwed up for us. Good riddance Karrion.

He’s had one chance. His effort went just wide of the post. The keeper was close to him, he might’ve been able to either chip it over the goalie, or nutmeg him, but it happens. Sancho scored through a penalty, so it’s 1-0 to Dortmund.

It’s been a pretty typical match for Dortmund, where they struggle to find a way through a compact defense. They typically fire a lot of long-shots in matches like these, and I’ll never understand why, as they have no one who’s consistently good at taking those.

Good performance by Dortmund. 2 goals by Haaland, and a lovely freekick + an assist by Sancho, who looked more lively than he’s been since the season started.
