Which two team will progress ?
Re: Champions League 2020/21 | Group D
Wait till we get those 4000 lads in Anfield who can't cheer or clap due to rules, you won't know what will hit you (literally)

Re: Champions League 2020/21 | Group D
nothing new
everytime we get a bit comfortable in Europe in terms of points in the table, Klopp tries something to rest the players and it backfires. We always wait till the last game to qualify from the group.
We have been thrashed by worse teams before in group stages. This time it was because almost whole of starting XI players are injured but still unacceptable to lose at Anfield like this.

Had a look at the table, this game doesn't really matter for qualification for Liverpool. They'll qualify anyway if they beat Midtjylland but they might risk first place. Wonder how they will do vs an Ajax that needs the win more to progress.

We're struggling to avoid playing 3-4 academy players per game right now

Re: Champions League 2020/21 | Group D
LFC are way through as we know.
The showdown comes between Ajax and Atalanta.
Atalanta somehow drew to Midtjylland as were down a goal in the first half, equalised and nearly won in the end by bombarding the goal. LFC on the other hand beat Ajax.
This was Atalanta's to go through but they wasted it and now have to fight for it in Amsterdam next UCL round.
A draw would mean Atalanta go through given they are one point above compared to Ajax.

Atalanta winning or drawing today makes no difference for their qualification.
They need to get a point or more in Amsterdam regardless.
Had they won today and lost the match in Amsterdam they would have failed to qualify anyway due to the h2h.

Unbelievable we are walking this group with this partial squad.

yeah weird world. Cant believe that we qualified from a group before even starting the last matchday of the group.
With that said, it would be so criminally shameful for other teams in EPL if Liverpool with this broken squad finish top of the table at the end of December

Atalanta dominating Ajax
They're always a better away team than home team
They should be 1-0 up tbh

Gollini came through big and now Gravenberch gets himself sent off. Atalanta's game to lose. They need to regain some control though.

Muriel is surely the best back up CF in football, comes in big to change games every time.

Ajax was playing pretty good, they just lacked final product. Atalanta meanwhile, again this club keeps being the underdog and deliver. congratulations to the Bergamo team

Re: Champions League 2020/21 | Group D
Spectacular performance by Atalanta tonight and more impressive in light of the confirmed locker room row that occurred between Gasperini and their captain in Papu.
Ajax no doubt were good tonight but Atalanta dominated and saw themselves through in convincing fashion. They don't look as dangerous as last year but quite a moment in Bergamese history to make it through two UCL group stages in a row. Hats off.
