Might as well have a tadpole in goal. 4-2 Bayern. I don't know how Hitz has a career at this level of football.

Edge of the box shots are Goretzka's speciality eh?
Loved the feint for the 4th goal. Clever play.

Cant believe I missed the first half... anyway, Bayern again too good in the end, and they are not even full strength. Just waiting for them to match up with Man C in the CL final hopefully

Dortmund were without Jadon Sancho, Giovanni Reyna, and more importantly, their infinitely more reliable starting keeper, Roman Burki. What do you mean by Bayern not even being close to full strength?

Re: The Bundesliga Thread 20/21
Embarrassing stuff from the BVB, luck out with two early shots (everyone gets those against us so that's no achievement) and then get completely pinned back and controled for 80 minutes.
Possibly, yes.
Isolate him one v one, as Pep likes to do with his wingers.
He might also be profiting from the move to put Sülinho at RB who's drawing defenders with his inimitable dribbles and runs into the half space.
lmao it's exactly that. It's become a running gag for us at this point, if Boateng has to make a sprint or stretch his leg for a tackle once, he's immediately injured after loool.
He's an old man. But I hope we extend him, he's so important with the ball. Absolute legend.

Sane's body orientation playing inside between the lines was dreadful. He constantly received the ball with his back facing the defenders. His high centre of gravity didn't help matters either.
So Flick's switch to have him play wider in the last month was definitely logical. Even though Sane doesn't get in as many goalscoring positions as he did at the start of the season, his general play has improved a lot. His general play was atrocious from November to January.
I'll never not find Sule playing RB funny. He shouldn't ball the way he does being that big. He offers more attacking impetus than Pavard ffs.

It's just beautiful. If Phonzie at LB was the revelation of last season, Süle's dribbling is the wonder of this season.
If I see him, looking as he does like Gregor Clegane, but doing stepovers, gliding past an defender and then backheeling the ball or making a chipped pass, it almost lets me forget the loss of seeing Thiago tackle.
It's just fucking hilarious, and yes you just know that Flick prefers him to Pavard mainly because he's better going forward lmaooo

Wow, Ive kept my eye of Sule lately, and this big guy can really run and dribble with some nice skills. Never rated Pavard, but thought everyone else did? Anyway, the important is so Flick has Sule as the first choice RB long term? Pretty sure he has his weaknesses still playing out wide, its just inevitable when hes so big, imagine trying to turn and keep Sterling at bay for example

Fair enough I was thinking Gnabry, whos been in and out, and Sule is just a temp solution for Pavard. the LB Im not sure but I thought Hernandez is first choice so not sure there...

They have quite capable cover at LB in Davies. Hans can complain all he wants about their defensive situation these days, they're still more defensively solid than Dortmund are Some teams can just score a goal and then sit back until the final whistle blows. Dortmund have to bring the game to their opponent, because they will always be frail at the back. With reserve goalie, Hitz between the sticks, they've practically got an open goal as well.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread 20/21
Yea Dortmund has always been poor in defense and mentality it seems in at least the last few years, all their strength lie in attacking side it seems. Hummels unwanted at Bayern is leading the line still in defense for them I guess that just highlights it too.

Dortmund vs Hertha. Worst match I've seen in a while. It's been a poor match by training match standards, so far.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread 20/21
Somehow, it seems like Bellingham's precision and general sharpness has declined over the course of the season. I hope it's mostly my imagination. When he was still a newbie on this team, there was much more intent and calmness behind his actions. He seems to have developed a tendency to just "wing it". Makes "blind" passes based on assumed team mate positions, and takes more risks in general, but not necessarily in a good way.
Brandt scores. 1-0 Dortmund. Awful goalkeeping from former Norway NT keeper, Jarstein.

I'd be surprised if Reus didn't just get injured. Probably a torn achilles. Same old, same old.
Hertha's goalkeeper has had twice as many touches of the ball, compared to Haaland ffs
I didn't realize Piatek plays for Hertha Berlin
Moukoko scores with a brilliant finish from a tight angle to make it 2-0 Dortmund!

«Reservebank»
That would be ‘reservebenk’ in Norwegian. Bank is bank. Wish I had a reserve bank.

The hype around him died quicker than lightning. He enjoyed half a season at the top or so?
