Paradox games (PC)
First time playing as Austria, didn't know the HRE would be so fun.
I ended up gobbling up half of Europe through multiple personal unions (Hungary, Bohemia, Milan, Burgundy and Poland).
Then i managed to install my dynasty on the Spanish and Russian throne.
Next Russia helped me win the Thirty Year's War by beating back Ottomans and their religious minions.
In the end, as a parting gift, i decided to wipe off Protestantism and Reformism from the face of HRE.
Anyway just wanted to let you know their new game Crusader Kings III just came out and it's already a GOTY contender (91 on metacritic).

I played a little bit of EU3 and had fun, but EU4 seems even more complicated. Did you read a guide of some kind before you started or did you just jump in and learned things as you played?

Nah i have maybe 200 hours in this game and i'm still learning new things, this is one of those easy to learn, difficult to master type of game. i'd probably get curb stomped if i play a non Great Power nation.

I might give it another go then, though I always have to be careful with strategy games. You get into it, lose track of time, and end up wondering how the fuck is it 5AM already.

Kind of off topic, but Crusader Kings 3 got released to fantastic reviews. Its said to be easier for newcomers to the game too.

Re: Paradox games (PC)
Finished my Austria playthrough by forming the Holy Roman Empire.
Yea mentioned it, that's not off topic btw, made this thread for all Paradox games. Stellaris, Hearts of Iron IV and Victoria II discussions are welcome too.
