Apparently Juventus is getting canceled due to this racist tweet



Am starting to get truly bothered by this. This is news and Juventus is apologizing for an "unforgivable mistake" and people are getting fired over this.

There is probably not a single Asian on the planet offended by this, but the pseudomoralistic brigade has got their backs.

Last friendly before the season starts.

Juve 3-1 Atalanta

Allegri has more players at his disposal although not everyone is available or fit, like Arthur and Rabiot.

Atalanta played pretty much their starting 11. Juve:


In defense more like a 442 with Chiesa defending on the right side.

Excellent 1st goal on a counter with Ronaldo passing to Chiesa, Chiesa crossing to Dybala, and Dybala sliding to a finish. Atalanta scored on a penalty before Bernardeschi scored a ridiculous long shot, and Morata tapped in the 3-1.

After all the subs, it was something like:


The GK, defense, and attack should be the starting lineup. Only the midfield will be reshuffled a lot during the season I guess, Fagioli and Ranocchia will probably go on loan.

The return of Allegri is really boring. I don't like it.

Juve will just win the league again easily in a really uninteresting, uninspriring way

Yes, our midfield revamp is Andrea Ranocchia former flop CB. That's how broke we are.

Yep. Nico Fagioli is our most promising midfielder in the youth setup.

Ramsey as a deep-lying playmaker

Nothing about his attributes or playstyle screams that, he's made for himself known because of his runs into the box and scoring goals, and if i recall he was deployed as a striker at times in Arsenal.

We'll see how this experiment plays out, but i don't foresee him sitting in front of the defense for long

Yeah its very strange. If there is a manager that I trust to experiment though, its Allegir. He got Barzagli, Mandzukic, Can, Bernardeschi, Dybala, etc. to excel at times in weird positions.

Arthur just had surgery and Rabiot has a knock, so besides Fagioli (the 20yo youth player) no one is left to play there effectively. Allegri has been vocal that Bentancur is not a regista.

IF we sign Locatelli I guess he might slot there right away. Or if Pjanic arrives on loan.

Not expecting any signings after Locatelli. Only if someone leaves but it seems unlikely as Ramsey and Rugani are hard to move.

It's a summer conditioned by the total lack of funds. Locatelli was the one to sign and it was done in a very good deal, free loan for 2 years then 35m spread over some years. Kaio Jorge arrived for 5m as an opportunity, we'll see if he is anything to be excited about. Luca Pellegrini finally joins as Alex's sub after his loans.

Basically it's Locatelli and Allegri that are our main reinforcements. The step up from Pirlo to Allegri should be huge.

The rest is about recovering players. Dybala basically missed all of last season between injury and covid, the season before he was Serie A's MVP. Now he is back and in the center of the team again. Bernardeschi has started the last 2 friendlies from midfield, left mezzala, and looks good after a summer with Mancini. De Sciglio and Rugani are back in bench roles. We'll see if we Allegri can transform Ramsey and what he can get out of Arthur.

Frabotta, Demiral, and Buffon left.

The midfield still needs to be sorted out, it's improved but not finished. That will continue next season I guess. In theory Locatelli and Rabiot should continue their trajectories of last season and be quite good. Then we'll need Bentancur to come back to life, McKennie to grow, or Allegri to work some magic in Ramsey and Bernardeschi.

Very excited to see finally a front 3 of Ronaldo, Dybala and Chiesa. With the latter having such a huge run of form and confidence. Kulusevski and Morata as impact subs is promising.

By now most of the starting 11 is quite young as well as a lot of the bench, the rejuvenation continues.

Only Ronaldo, Chiellini, Bonucci, Cuadrado, Alex, Danilo, Ramsey, and Szczesny are old. Most of which are great players to have around.

Has it ever been revealed why Ronaldo ducked the last game of the season last year?

9 days later...

Now it looks like Ronaldo will leave any day and there should be a signing or two to fill in the gaps. Ronaldo cant be replaced with any one player but his goals have to come from the whole team, more scoring responsibility on Dybala, Chiesa, Morata, and Kulusevski. This lacks a proper scoring striker.

Every possible name being linked with Juve atm, all the un-settled strikers. A rumor that seems credible is the return of Kean.

Icardi? Not many other strikers come to mind

Replacing him is no easy feat, lets look at the names so far:

-Griezmann
-Jovic
-Lacazette
-Aubameyang
-Kean
-Icardi

Looking at the salaries and the amount Juve can spend from the Ronaldo sale, only one seems feasible: Kean

The rest are on high salaries for Juve and Serie A standards

But then you have to wonder what formation Juve will play this season? 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-3 are usually Allegri's preferences, if its the latter they might have to hunt for a LW instead

Exactly, as much as he was a tactical difficulty for our coaches we could always rely on him solving a match. Even in the last match against Udinese, when he came on the chances of winning immediately increase, a millimetric offside from his shoulder took what would have been yet another 90' match winning goal.

Allegri has always been very flexible for us, 352, 433, 4312, 4231, whatever worked best. In preseason and in the first match he played a 433/442 hybrid. Basically The right winger of the 433 (Chiesa or Cuadrado) folding back to defend as a 442 with Dybala and the striker (Ronaldo or Morata) staying centrally. The LCM being wider than the RCM.

That was with Ronaldo in the squad though. Might change. Should not be a 4312 but a formation with wingers as we have Chiesa in the center of the project plus Kulu, Cuadrado and Bernardeschi.

If its a 4231 we need a LW probably
or a striker with Cuadrado back in attack

If its a 433 he might make Chiesa the main LW
Or use Dybala as the 9, something he usually he doesn't want to do
