At best, we can sell/release 3 or 4 players from the above list.  Rugani most likely survives the axe with Romero's sale. Probably Bernardeschi too since he decided to get injured just  at the right time.

Higuain and Khedira will be released. No one will take their wages.

I read we won’t invest heavy into a player without first selling... which means Douglas Costa (the only player of that list with meaningful value), is the necessary sale for any hope for a midfielder.

To be honest, we are paying for some poor squad management in the past couple years.

I dont understand why you guys blame the issues that Marotta left on him. Marotta's last moves were extending the contracts of the older players like Khedira and Matuidi.

Plus other smaller movements going both ways. I dont see what is terrible here. Our squad was really old and its clear that Ronaldo aside most significant signings are reducing the age with quality players. The run up to Marotta's departure is being 'undone' basically. Khedira, Higuain, Matuidi, De Sciglio, Costa, Rugani the players that contributed littlr the last few seasons were signed before.

Demiral is the only piece of business that "stands out" i am glad to buy De Ligt and Kulusevski. But those were obvious bids to make and we pay the high price without discount.

Arthur, Rabiot i am not sold, the latter i never rated him before he joined us. Pjanic is better than them actually, but he switched off. Same for Ramsey but that guy switched off many years ago, long before Paratici signed him.

As you can see if i detail step-by-step my impressions i agree with you more or less. But what i rate is the general result: a team with no flavor, no eager to win, no cohesion. In this regard Paratici has done a disappointing job. Nedved also needs to look himself in the mirror imo. Yes in 2018 Beppe offer sketchy extensions, but his project was interrupted in the middle of the rebuild process, who knows how things would be right now if did not buy Ronaldo ? And if anything i trust more Marotta to repair his own mistakes instead of Paratici all he did is generate huge cash flow and put us more in shit

Because whilst i learn to appreciate CR7, the crux of the problem is not him personally (of course not) more so what he represents: Agnelli's intentions are to modify the essence of this club
Marotta, Allegri now Paratici all quality football men who leave the club, sacrificed for some absurd ideals of grandeur ? While we were already elite before 2017. I fear when i see faces begin to change more often that we'll take a drop like Milan, no stability, no clear project, impatience, etc

Higuain to Inter... Miami

I feel bad for him over the past couple seasons. He was signed for big money to be the main man here and it was somewhat cut short by Ronaldo. Unsuccessful with Milan and Chelsea before coming back, looking great early but fading extremely hard. His goal against Napoli early last season was prime Pipita.

Had to leave because his wages and his profile on the field just don’t work. Grazie Pipita. Scored some amazing goals for Juventus and was an instrumental player post-MVP.

What could go wrong

Milik is definitely not confirmed to stay at Napoli. He has no place, Napoli signed 2 strikers already, bringing their total to 6, without Milik. ADL has been saying since last year, either Milik renew last year or leave this summer.

Gattuso just today said the same. He won't be part of the squad even if he doesn't find an exit deal, so its in everyone's best interest that Milik is sold.

The problem is that this puts Napoli in an extraordinarily weak position to negotate so clubs don't want to pay full price for him. Furthermore ADL doesn't want to see Milik at Juve.
