Re: The 20/21 Season
With more training time I'm sure we can improve. We got a set-piece coach to help fix that mess, we've recruited two promising defenders, and the effort and attitude of the team is improving all the time. It might not be pretty but I think we can convert some of those draws into wins and climb back up to the top six.
Anyway, team news:
Leno; Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Bellerin, Elneny, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles; Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang
Subs: Macey, Kolasinac, Ceballos, Willock, Saka, Pepe, Nketiah

Arteta said something about how we have to keep expectations for him in check and that he missed a lot of football last year, so i presume he wants to ease him into the team.

Re: The 20/21 Season
Yeah, he's quite young. Probably better to give him time to grow into the role.
I am excited to see Gabriel actually.

Re: The 20/21 Season
Interesting, you can really only speak of a 3 man defense with wingbacks against the ball, with the ball Tierney goes out really wide like a fullback while Maitland-Niles seems to take more of an attacking midfielder position, further in, with Auba wider than him often

Yes. Or even, you have to actively battle the impression of watching Chelsea

Re: The 20/21 Season
Willian's movement is so good. Already a bright addition to our team. Just wish we'd get the ball forward more quickly. The link up play between Tierney, Niles and Auba has been disappointing so far because that's where our build up play into the final third will most likely come from.

Re: The 20/21 Season
A solid enough half without many thrills.
Our pressing has been a fraction too late and Fulham have passed it very well down the flanks. They've been successful at playing quick passes down our left and then accessing the centre when Xhaka goes over to help. Our recoveries have been good though. The midfield got back into position quickly and slowed down the attacks before Fulham could switch to the other flank where their most dangerous player is.
In possession, it's been slow at the back. Fulham have strung four players across the frotline to cut off the midfield and quickly block Tierney's passing options when he gets it. That's opened up space on the right, which has been our more successful way out, but we've been slow in working it to that side.
AMN has looked a bit lost. He's taking up those narrow positions but we're having trouble finding him. Auba's played more on the left touchline than inside which has left him on the edges of the game. Think we need to see more variety in the movement on that side.

Also, Rob Holding casually juggling with the ball and playing a through pass to earn the corner.
