Southampton are playing better forward attacking football than us. Elneny's mistake led to losing the ball which eventually led to the goal. He is a mediocre player if I have ever seen one.

Less said about Willian, the better.

Elneny - Xhaka is a league 2 pivot

Nketiah and Pepe are useless

and the midfield and defense would much rather lethargically pass the game away between themselves instead of taking a chance and moving the ball forward faster

Both Elneny and Xhaka will never drive forward, everytime we go forward, Xhaka and Elneny are just jogging. Both cannot play together. Either put Ceballos or Partey in the team, cause Elneny and Xhaka provide defense cover but 0 forward play

Also, Nketiah is clearly not a top 6 player. I have no clue why he is being used when we can just give Balogun his place and sell Nketiah for good money. With every game he plays, he loses value.

Call me crazy but Eddie reminds me so much of Franis Jeffer when he played for us, absolutely useless anywhere outside penalty box, for a poacher, his number is just not good enough.

Glad i did not bother watching the game. It ended about how I thought it would.

It has just gotten too depressing to watch how far down the club management and Artetta are taking the team. Over half the club would not make it on a top 6 team. Then for some reason we get another keeper. Tactics are horrible and it does not even seem as thought there is a plan other than try not to lose. Just do not get it.

When Arsenal play cowardly, they are so mediocre. Arteta had the right tactics, its so stupid that he threw it away.

Even then, it also shows how scared the team is. They show so little faith they their first thought is to pass back. How can your most limited player be your biggest passer? Why are our defenders the main chief creators?

Also, someone should tell them to pass it down on the ground and not ping it so much. They suck at it.

Our attacking play is just one dimensional without ESR that it's scary that we weren't ready with a replacement the second Ozil was done.

Pepe did quite alright on the left, might be an option to explore more from now on for Arteta. No more cutting in, just straight up run and shoot, it simplify his game which is just what he needs. Here hoping it is another happy accident for Arteta similar to ESR. Our fullback situation is kinda weird, aside from KT, the other three are hot and cold. While Cedric had great game, I'm hesitant to throw him in against MU.

The approach to the game against southampton in PL was completely different to what it was in the cup game. I wonder if its the personnel who are on the field or the tactics that they plan to play that causes this vast difference. Because the way Saka and Pepe was trying to make runs of Laca were non existent in the cup game. It was those runs that made the difference.

Our pressing is very mediocre and our forward play is one dimensional. United are playing around us easily

They are really playing like clueless cowards. Pass back one dimensional cowards. Partey has been mediocre.

This is an Arteta problem for sure. This team are squares in round holes.

Don't agree. It's a really messy season. If we manage to keep picking up points, we can finish top 4 and back in CL.

Dont believe this team can go on a strong consistent run
Different story in knock outs though as you dont always have to play for a win
