Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
damn it... we are screwed yet again... rebic was tripped during counterattack and really badly dislocated his shoulder.... kinda like de ligt one...
looks very bad his arm was swinging like pendulum.... that didnt even need a doc verdict theo was quick to ask for sub T.T hope this is not serious .... if he needs surgery we are screwed we got absolutely no one to play striker except colombo

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Crotone is not exactly great indeed but without Zlatan as discussed last week there is an advantage in some sorts.
Similar to when he was with us last time we look far more mobile and unpredictable without him. Problem is he is relatively immobile and it centres around him.
Problem also is we like last stint with him, are better with him.
More so without him last time we had Pato, Robinho to Ronaldinho (shortly) when he wasn't there.
Now well...
Tonali has looked positive today. Comfortable on the ball and an elegant spring in his step.

Tonali might be the only DM/CM from this new gen of midfielders that has a final pass on him.

Despite having caught glimpses of Diaz over the years I'm still unsure if he's right footed or left footed.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Brahim is ambidextrous Lascia thats a known quantity of his and his immense skill.
His problem is just he can be aimless with the ball at times and selfish.

Bit of a surprise to see Morata starting
Looks like a pretty exciting lineup though except for Cuadrado starting on the left

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
I have to come clean, i owe him this much
Frank Yanick Kessie is the best midfielder we have.
In fact, i think he is the best in Serie A even.
I am his most voracious critic, i hated him even before we bought him, and rightfully so, he was a donkey. I don't know what happened in the past year, but he has transformed, maybe its the haircut, maybe its the fouble pivot, maybe its Pioli, maybe its covid, maybe its magic, maybe its everything i said and more. But the fact is, he has upended all of his weakest qualities.
Pressure resistant? Check
Complete passer? Check
Smart destroyer? Check
Positionally aware? Check
Industrious in the pivotal moments? Check
Sharp on the ball? Check
Good recycler of the ball? Check
In fact i would go so far as to say he might even be better than Tomas Partey whomst they usually compare to.
He has developed so much since coming in 2017 these past 3 years have been pivotal, its clear he picked up a few things from Bakayoko, and Ibra has clearly given him a reprimand, add to that fact that Pioli has given him confidencr, in fact i would say that we don't need Bakayoko at that price point, just a formidable deputy for Frank should suffice.
Frank Kessie

He positions his body like a lefty but then uses his right foot and alternates between the two while dribbling. It's weird to watch. Although I feel those kind of players are the true ambidextrous ones. The ones who can dribble with both feet rather than shoot with both.

Only bad news for Milan is Rebic's injury , good for them that next match is against Spezia but he 'll miss EL play off surely at this point

I think he's starting on the right but Kulusevski is the one on the left.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Even the most ambidextrous footballers usually have what's called a preferred foot. Its usually better given they end up being more decisive with that preferred foot. Ronaldo, Zlatan, Kroos, Cazorla are such examples.
With players who are more diminutive and smaller legs I do notice usually dribble with both compared to players who are taller.
I am forever a proponent of two-footed players and I see coaches preferring them more and more in the future.
Nothing worse than seeing a player in an awkward situation to capitalise but cannot just due to his concrete weaker foot.

Kessie not only is the best Serie A midfielder but the best by far.
Far cry from when I hated the sight of him even.
Has to be the haircut.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
kessie has transformed himself to something else though lol i am one of his critics too but he has played absolutely immense in so many games now. hopes he keeps that up.
seems we always seems to struggle with team who sits back with 10 men. anyway we broke them even if it was marginal 2-0.
also bit afraid that since teams like crotone, spezia, now genoa gets hammered with so many goals then they probably would be houled by coaches not to repeat that against top teams so - its clear crotone played very cautious game after genoa defeat

Rebic injury update -
Dislocated elbow, it was popped back into place in the locker room. He was then taken to the local hospital for an X-Ray in case of fractures.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
that Roma lineup, what happened to this club?
Dybala ostracised already, for a jabroni? cant wait to sign him
Kessie (c) finally getting the respect he deserves from Mehlan fans, tears
