PS: Didn't realise Ubisoft had become an Indian company.
It has Persia in the name yet the main character is Arab and and his lover is Indian.

Wtf are these graphics? This looks like a remaster at best. Compare this to how Shadow Of The Colossus looks.

Re: General Games Discussion
I definitely played at least one Prince of Persia game a long time ago that was genuinely good. I don't remember which one it was. Other than that, it's not a franchise I'm awfully familiar with. Based on that one game, it doesn't surprise me that the series has a substantial following among fans of puzzle/platforming. They took the charm, inventiveness and mystery of retro platformers and modernized it. Now, they seem to be doing the opposite.

Sands Of Time is a classic. Its genuinely one of the finest video games I've played. To see it get this treatment pisses me off.

Re: General Games Discussion
In the middle of Last of Us (remastered) as Ive finally gotten around to playing it.
It is just as good as I expected. Looks stunning for a last gen game. The combat is utterly brutal and I love how it does not glorify it but has you see it as a product of necessity. Can also be frightening as the basement battle in Pittsburgh hotel is extremely intense.
Joel and Ellie individually and combined are some of the best characters I've witnessed in digital arts and I love their dynamic together, and how she develops throughout.
Never gets repetitive the game. Definitely a slow and clumsy start but Im definitely hooked.
Bigger point is I heard so many complaints that Last of Us is ridden by the political stance of the developer as I really don't see it.
Aside from maybe Tess who seems to be wonder woman but then again women like that do exist, who've led a tough life. Joel is a total bad ass and fleshed out correctly and Ellie shows the perfect combination of vulnerability and drive. So not seeing where those complaints have come from unless that is part deux.

Re: General Games Discussion
The politics- related criticism has specifically been aimed at The Last of Us 2, not the original one. Tess looks puny compared to the one the internet dubbed «Muscle Girl» in the sequal
The director has admitted that he’s been invested in feminist politics since the last game, and the collaboration with Anita Sarkeesian didn’t earn him any popularity points from outspoken, internet fans. That said, I’m well over halfway through the game, and although I’ve found certain elements of it a bit silly, it’s hardly worth mentioning.
As an example, you might notice at the start of the game that they’ve decided to substantially increase the racial and gender diversity among the side characters, but those characters barely get any screen time and aren’t fleshed out properly. Even Muscle Girl was like a fart in the wind. So, I’m not sure what the complaints are specifically about. I’ll have to reach the end of it, in order to find out.

Makes sense Thimmy and given you are averse to such things as I am similarly, glad I wont come across such things in the sequel.

Re: General Games Discussion
Honestly there isn't much politics in the game at all. There is some stuff shoehorned here n there but it's barely noticeable. Doesn't change your experience or anything.
But just don't expect the same level of game as the first one. First one is a masterpiece and an all time great game.

Last of us 2 looks way way better and truly next gen but wouldn't be surprised. Definitely worth the hype so far and just an utterly tragic game. Visceral.

It was correct move to wait. Dragon Age Inquisition Goty and Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe bundle currently 20,38€ on Steam. Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 still have ridiculous prices.

Hell the entire trilogy is at the very least 'very good'
This is why i don't wish anything from Ubisoft, you know damn well they'll fuck it up.
Assassin's Creed is the only thing they do which has any semblance of quality behind it.

On steam of course, you just add to your steam library and that's it. They sell the activation codes.

Re: General Games Discussion
There's no cheap option for Steam, so that Steam would provide the files when I want. I can add games to Steam, like I've done with Daggerfall, but it's small free game I can download from the net whenever I want. Not going to add anything else, than Steam provided games, or freely downloaded, added to Steam games.@Babun wrote:@Harmonica wrote:Yeah, but not on Steam. I like my games to be one place only.

And I'm telling you I'm not talking about adding games to steam but activating steam games on steam through the steam library

Re: General Games Discussion
Yeah, that's still too expensive because there's like 25€ DLC pack. Going to wait until I get the whole thing like 10€.@Babun wrote:@Harmonica wrote:So where's Dragon Age II Steam key 3.45€?@Babun wrote:

Well, then you have to wait for a very long time.
