going back to Sekiro, see if I can muster up the enthusiasm to finish it off

probably nothing until Cyberpunk

can't see playing anything ever again myself sadly

Do any of you ever feel guilty when you see how much time you spent playing games?

Nah it's not that. I still have few hours here n there i can play if i want. Just my gaming spirit is completely dead. Was on such a good run too.

I've been playing Gwent and Fall Guys, I've turned into a Multiplayer obsessive lol.

What type of game is fall guys?

It's basically a battle Royal inspired by Takeshi's castle lol.

Bunch of round based mini games and last person left wins.

Which one are you at? I played them up to Yakuza 3 and then I got burnt out I skipped Yakuza 4 and went straight to 5, but I lost motivation after like, 30 minutes. I love the series, but I really struggle to leave all of the optional activities alone.

That will once again have me use the fake word completionism, for it.

I feel the same. And as a result all open world games or non-linear ones lose their fun for me since I am aiming to complete it all even if boring, even if nonsensical and as a result it loses sense of fun for me.

From Duolingo XP points to PS4 trophies.

It burns you out when you do it, long or short stretches of playing and I sense this is how RG himself lost his interest in gaming.

Hence why my next game will likely be linear and on a straight story path.

This is why I like having two games of different genres on the go. If I start feeling burned out on one I can switch over to the other for a day or two.

I also try varying my purchases. If I've just played a story-heavy RPG I make sure my next game is lighter so when the next story-heavy RPG comes out I have more enthusiasm for it. Or I might go back to something older.

Just started 4 after finishing 3. Honestly I got burnt out doing 10 hostesses and the Colosseum tournaments. Did not get up to Amon because cba getting high scores in golf, pool and bowling to unlock substories, other than that, I did all the substories. I love the substories and the main storyline is always epic so I'm not turned off from the series at all. The combat was annoying in 3 because of how everyone and their mothers guard but it got better after is more abilities and heat moves got unlocked. So far liking 4, good thig doing all hostesses is not needed for all substories.

Very well said Rinc. Point on detracting from the main story is spot on.

And this is one of the reasons on why I find Nintendo tremendously overrated.

So they renamed Gods & Monsters, it looks like a shameless Zelda BotW copy and knowing Ubisoft it will probably use the same formula as AC/FC.
