Your Most beloved players XI

Since we've not got much going on at present, let's look back on some of our fondest footballing memories, and some of our favourite players. They don't have to be good, just players you loved the most.

I'm going to make it difficult, and say you can only select 11 players, no subs or honourable mentions.


Cech, Terry, Lampard and Drogba are obvious choices as they are four of the best Chelsea players I've witnessed.
Kante and Azpi are two of my favourite current players.
Roberto Carlos and R9 Ronaldo are two players who made me fall in love with football in the early 00's.
Mata and Ramires brought me so much joy during their time at Chelsea, and I actually loved Ramires before Chelsea, after watching him at the 2009 Confed's cup.
Finally, Isaias is an Adelaide United legend and brought so much joy to my local club.

Lets hear yours.

Honorable mention to Bonucci, he can be quite an asshole sometimes tho, and Licht is a much more likeable figure. It's hard to choose. That's the kind of thread, if you create a new one in 2 weeks, i might have other answers.

Had to shift Messi to Left Mid to accommodate Klose.

Ballack and Lahm are also close calls.

maldini supposed to be left back but carlos had to make my team, especially for the disrespect made by some comparing marcelo to him

wanted a midfield of maradona who was the best i ever seen with gullit and falcao, but that midfield would have bee ripped to shreds so makelele has to hold the fort

i waned becks or di maria down the right. becks for his brilliant long passes and crosses. but i pledged loyalty to florentino once he delivered figo

that's a damn good team we'd love to play jay29's team
oh and zidane as the manager (keep all those egos in check)
