Well, they had 45 million to spend. They spend 26 on Sanchez that bring's it down to 19 and they have sold Ibra 8 mill a year, Bojan 10 million and Caceres 4 million = 41 million to spend with others likely to be sold like Jeffren.

So they definitely have it i suspect they will try to lowball Arsenal to under 40 though.

some guy from barcelona, josep came to london yesterday and asked about our valuation. We said 40m+ and he left. No offer was made. More talks on the weekend. They will try and include 2 kids in the deal.

Lets not forget this transfer window will be included in the FFP, if it wasn't for Barcelona's new shirt deal they would be utterly screwed on that too.

As it stands it's a borderline situation. I don't know how they can justify this sort of spending. They also put in a bid for the buy out clause of Neymar.

You guys underestimate the prize money they receive from winning all those trophies. Wages are Spain are insane though, unless you have an outstanding turn over (Real Madrid). I think they are taking calculated gambles that their current signings will help them to continue their success and the money brought in that way will balance the books.

Will be interesting to see how Sanchez who has a habit of being selfish would work in their set up

I heard Sanchez would be getting 4 million euro's a year which is similar to what Nolan is getting at West Ham.

If West Ham can afford it iam pretty sure Barca can

Calm down, it's ONE outside purchase. No matter how good a cantera you have, you will have to buy players elsewhere every now and again. Although if u wanna say cantera to cartera, there is no better example than Cesc. take all the trolling aside, this is a great deal for Barca.

One of the brightest talents in the world, and barca need more players because lack of depth.

messi - villa - Sanchez/pedro + you have affelay to throw in there aswell.

Players do get injured and need rest.

I dont think 40 mill for him is a gamble at all.

Hope its Pedro, always seen him as a threat in Barca games. He is two footed and is so good at hitting the target.

He didn't cost 40M yet. Also, Juve, City, United, Inter and Barca were all interested. With those kinds of parties involved he couldn't have come cheap. City even offered more money, but Alexis was only interested in Barca.
