Note I'm also not saying Biden is a better rust belt candidate. I need to see more evidence to decide who is better. But people need to piss off with the "DNC making a second mistake" shit. Biden has a dick and was the VP for Obama and has been around forever and is well liked. He's not Hillary.

Besides. If he was Hillary + just a little more likeable in the rust belt, he wins the presidency. I actually think Biden 2016 wins. Biden 2020 isn't Biden 2016...but maybe it works

I don’t see how those two statements are exclusive. My whole thing about Biden being unelectable is when he’s actually scrutinised on a national stage.

He’s been lucky he’s not been the target yet, because they’ve placed men against him who are either buffoons are pure evil (Bloomberg).

When his creepiness is put under a spotlight it will get bad. Because I don’t think the dude can really get this Obama nostalgia going.

Also still. No one even knows why they’re voting for Biden. He has no political identity. Seriously. Name a Biden policy without googling it.

Yeah don't disagree there, he's not a great candidate, he lost 3 primaries and has a record as a loser. I wish the party had coalesced around Klobuchar or Buttigieg instead. But on the flip side I don't think Bernie is much more electable given that he is a fringe ideologue (at least by US standards) and relies on the ever unreliable youth vote. The choices are simply bad.

Also while Biden doesn't stand for anything in particular, I think to most people he stands for a "return to normal" after this wild ride on the Trump roller coaster. It's more about who he is than what policies he defends. He's not running on a campaign for change but rather a return to the 2016 status quo. Since he's not running for change he doesn't need to put forward reforms, and thus his campaign is not based on them.

13% turnout from 18 to 29 years old, this is abysmal. Millennials and Zoomers let themselves and Bernie down last night, they only have themselves to blame if Trump gets reelected. Bernie too clearly made a mistake putting too much faith in young people turning out for him.

Honestly at this point these people deserve to be drowned in medical and student debt for refusing to exercise their civil rights when literally their lives are on the line with the incoming threat of climate change.
