Pretty much. Seems to be a thing with Kane.
They have a promising kid called Troy Parrott but I expect Mourinho will have to be down every possible option before giving him a go.

It looked pretty even at first with both sides creating one decent chance, but then Chelsea took the upper hand and deservedly scored.
Spurs aren't actually playing that bad, but their attack is certainly underwhelming, which is understandable given the absence of Kane.

Giroud
Spurs are playing a 5-4-1 with a young centre back at RWB and no proper striker. They were set-up to nick the game 1-0. Now they have to actually play the game in Chelsea's half.

I thought it was a mildly funny, at first. Now, it’s more like watching a little brother pulling the same joke or gimmick for the 100th time, still expecting people to laugh from it.

Lo Celso has been one of Tottenham's best players since he's joined though if you watch the games (of which I only watch maybe half admittedly, perhaps he's shit in the other half)

Alright lads, just here to update the rules, so we're all on the same page.
Kicking players in the family jewels is 100% legal, no ramifications.
Stamping players legs if 100% legal.
Kicking players waist is 100% legal.
High boot, is a big no no and will result in a yellow card.
Seriously, what is the point in VAR if they don't have the guts to make the correct call? Their official ruling on Lo Celso stamp is that he had no where else to put his foot. I didn't realise Azpi's calf was the size of the pitch.

'It wasn't a clear and obvious error because VAR didn't feel there was anywhere else for him to put his foot' - the VAR ref.

Are we certain it is qualified refs running VAR? I know they say it's refs but has anyone go inside the room and personally checked and confirmed?

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter IV
What's worse is that even though the VAR team on the day admitted it should have been a red, they can't retrospectively punish Lo Celso because the ref saw the incident. So everyone was wrong, but Lo Celso is going to play the next game anyway.
Shamelessly copied this from Reddit, but it's compelling stuff:
Shamelessly copied this from Reddit, but it's compelling stuff:
So there's a semi-serious conspiracy theory gathering that the PL refs are actively trying to make VAR look bad and ineffective. Which I don't fully buy, but I think there is some basis of truth behind the reason for the theory, which is about sticking up for your fellow professionals. These guys (the actual match officials and the VARs) all know each other and are part of a much-maligned group, it's human nature that they are going to try and stick up for each other and would be reluctant to overturn a call that their work colleague has made. So, by not going to the pitchside monitor, the on-field ref almost has a get-out-of-jail card with regards to a tough decision, they can hold up their hands and say "hey, it's not me making the decision, it's them", but the problem is that the "them" in question is like some ghostly figure in a dark room miles away from the action, we'll hear their name at the start of the game, but other than that they have little to no accountability or culpability. If the on-pitch ref went over to the sideline and made a controversial call we would all be talking about how bad the refereeing decision was, and the performance that specific referee. When it goes to VAR and the darkened rooms of Stockley Park and a controversial call is made, all of the focus is still on the system for some reason, not that referee. Everyone talks about VAR this and VAR that, while rarely naming and shaming the actual referee. So, essentially, leaving everything to VAR relieves the actual refs of any blame. Mike Riley would obviously be aware of this, so he's choosing to make life easier for his buddies instead of just getting the best working system - and that's probably why he's got the job that he has. Lot's of people are shouting about how he should be sacked, but he's not going to be because he's making the job a lot easier for the refs and they in-turn will support him as PGMOL GM. For example, you'll only see ex-PL refs like Mark Clattenburg and Howard Webb have been openly critical of Mike Riley, the current bunch are happy with his decisions because it is focused on protecting referees.
For example, think of a wrong call that was made by an on-pitch ref this season. The first one that came to mind for me was Son's tackle on Andre Gomes which led to a straight red card for Son. I can remember that it was Martin Atkinson who made that call, but I can't remember who the VAR was that today and I think that would be pretty typical of most PL fans. So, if you can accept that it wasn't a red (which it wasn't, as an independent panel later confirmed), then the ref made a wrong call, and the VAR made a wrong call too; but, because of the lack of visibility of the VAR, we only remember the referee's mistake. So, the next time Martin Atkinson is a VAR he will have no problem just sticking up for his mate out there on the pitch who may have made a wrong call, confident in the fact that any backlash against a decision that he is accountable for will just fall under VAR controversy, and his name will barely get a mention. It's like a layer of protection that allows these guys to deflect bad refereeing off onto this magical buzzword that is VAR.
