After Spirited Away, the second best anime for me.

I have completely forgotten Spectre. I don not remember any dialogue or scene of entire movie. How's that possible lmao.

I just remember them wasting Batista who was actually the best part of the film.

Gladiator has to be #1. Utterly stellar.
I loved Last Samurai and agree with Interstellar.
His Batman Begins score too is brilliant.
Zimmer really knocks it out of the park for his big films as for smaller video games and films they are more generic.
Plus when he combines with James Newton Howard they are always the best.

If she really puts out another masterpiece right away. Incredible.
Can't wait to see it. The Rider is special.

In regards to Zimmer I have to mention Man of Steel. Flight is my single favourite track by him. It's so fucking good.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Gladiator is mostly down because of Lisa Gerrard is the driving force for that score I think. For me Last Samurai is easily the best, also much better movie than the critical reception it got.Arquitecto wrote:Harmonica wrote:Top 5 Zimmer Scores

Speaking of Lisa Gerrard, one of the best tracks ever, from movie Insider.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
I saw Villain on Netflix, sadly it's quite a crap film
The first few minutes i thought hmmm maybe this will be legit, but it quickly falls into clichés and sentimental bs the end i mean come on. Apparently the cinema critics have rated it
Watching Godfather for the 1000th time >>>

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
went to see Tenet yesterday. It was good. Definitely better than Dunkirk. But too often it felt like he just blatantly trying to recreate Inception and Memento into one film.
Perhaps needs to do that Bond film he has been talking about for long to get some originality back into his vision, now that Tom Hardy seems to be next in line for the role.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Watched Druk/Another Round last night
One of the best Danish films in a long time. Druk and Dronningen are the only two great ones I've seen in about 8 years.
I love how the movie makes you feel like you feel when going on a massive bender. It's a fine line but I think Vinterberg nails it.
Mads Mikkelsen is just so fucking good when he's allowed to be. One of his finest performances. His ability to blend comedy with dramatic seriousness is unparalleled in Danish cinema. And unique world wide.
Also Thomas Bo Larsen delivers his finest comedic performance in a long time. Vinterberg really knows how to use him for the better.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
I think he's gonna be Immortan Joe.
The entire crew for Fury Road is back, even the cinematographer who retired. Happy its happening but I would have preferred the crew doing Mad Max: The Wasteland with Tom Hardy. Fingers crossed they do it after this.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
an actor mate of mine who i shared a residence and one class with in my first year at University, stars in a short film that just last night won a Student Academy Award!!!!!!!! the director of the film was crowned with the award over online ceremony by no less, Spike Lee!!!!!!
said mate also won a Best Supporting Actor award at a festival for his role just last week
so proud and excited for the team!
The film is called Umama, from what i understand it's about an elderly lady who takes care of homeless/neglected children in her township like they're her own which is such a strong and accurate representation of many African mums. It will probably be on VOD next year and i'll share it here.
