Re: The Movie House - Part 11
You can tell from the 1st frame it's a Nolan film
Looks really interesting.
Could have fooled me it wasn't zimmer giving the music. Maybe Nolan just likes it this way

El Gunner wrote:Just watched The Warriors (1979) that RG has been raving about. Wasn't as impressed as him, can see why it has a bit of a cult following though. Not my cup of the tea the way it is for me to take much more liking to it, but it's always nice to see 70s/80s film with the night time setting.
Can we talk about how when Cyrus said "suckas" and "can you dig it?" but he never pulled off the prime Booker T and said "can you dig it, suckas?"
The movie reminded me of Beat It - Michael Jackson, and now it's stuck in my head
Yea it's if you are into those kind of atmosphere. It's really cheesy in 2019 but it was quite an influential film from what i have been told.
Some of the dialogues
Glad you watched it.

This truly has been Adam Driver season. Watched The Report and Marriage Story. Report is decent, quite an informative film that is carried by Driver's magnetic performance. Marriage Story is up there as one of the best films of the year. The argument scene has the best acting performance I have seen all year. Driver and Johansson could win the Oscar for that alone.

Been saying this for years. Craig is brilliant and has turned out to be a very professional, versatile and surprisingly nuanced actor with some startling depth in his roles. Top British actor.
Ana de Armas not only is aesthetically very pleasing but a huge talent respectively. Glad you enjoyed the film as so did I.

Is star wars 9 even worth watching ? If not, please spoil me
Used to be a big fan but for the sequels i have very low interest, the new characters are boring and the storyline i don't remember what it is. Prequels >>

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Frankly, the awful use of Duel of the Fates absolutely killed any motivation I had for seeing this. I'll pay 3 bucks to rent it on Amazon later this year, but no way in hell I'm paying 50 to see it right now.
And that's after I did pay 50 to see Cats (my daughter's choice, much to my chagrin).

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
My advice for you if you're ever planning on going to the movies to watch Motherless Brooklyn: Don't. Just watch it at home, you'll thank me later.
The movie itself is very good and I enjoyed watching it a lot, but the leading man (Edward Norton's character) is suffering from Tourette's syndrome and his tics are quite funny...at first. After the first three or four, you should get used to them and not find them funny anymore and go on about enjoying the movie. Problem is, some people will continue to laugh throughout the entire movie and every time Brooklyn makes an involuntary sound, which can in many cases drown the sound of the movie itself and leave you waiting for them to shut up to be able to hear the dialogues again.
It's just one of those movies that you should watch them alone if you want to enjoy them to the fullest.
