Kamala would be alright, we can live with her.

Frankly, Kamala is not guaranteed victory against Pence should both candidates die. Unlike Trump, Pence is a seasoned political animal. He knows how the system works as both a former Governor and Senator. He's a lot more palatable to Lincoln Project Republicans, who would likely fall back in line against Biden. They are only siding with him because of Trump after all.

That and Kamala is not well-regarded by progressives, even with a good progressive voting record in the Senate.

We're getting ahead of ourselves though. Personally, I think Trump will recover and weaponize his recovery.

Kamala was not voted through the primary, she wasn't even close,  I'm sure many progressives would feel like if Biden drops then the nomination belongs to Bernie

All hypothetical at this point , we don't even know if Biden got it

Honestly, I'd take Pence or Harris over both these clowns. Don't wish them death or long-lasting damage of course... just not a very speedy recovery.

What are the chances Trump's panicking about getting the virus and insisted himself that he's taken to hospital? I'm under the impression it's unusual to go from testing positive and having mild symptoms to hospitalization in some 24 hours.

To be clear, the official line is that he's working out of the presidential office in Walter Reed hospital "out of an abundance of caution".

This is NOT the same as Trump going to the hospital because he is seriously ill. At least, that's not the news being spread around, and this admin leaks like all hell, with all journalists covering this story.

One infectious disease doctor said having a fever within hours of testing positive is highly unusual and says it suggest he has likely had the virus for a longer period than has been reported. Imagine the contamination he has likely done! He had a fund raiser yesterday after he was tested (and before results were known) and apparently several donors were in close contact with him!!

Its no secret that I think Trump is one of the worst men in the history of this country, and that says a lot with some of the "people" this country has created, but in no uncertain terms do I want this virus to take him out.

People who are on my Social media probably already know, but I lost my grandfather to this thing in August and what I saw of it, and the description given to me by my girlfriend who was there for it, it isnt pretty. Theres no honor in it. Its like drowning, until the very end.

A slightly strange update from the doctors - to a layman at least - where they told that Trump's been given a steroid that's only given to patients with a serious case of covid, but he might also be discharged as early as tomorrow. I guess he's recovering fast.

There is zero clarity with respect to the situation. Best thing we can do is just wait and see. We're not going to get an honest assessment any time soon. We got one (anonymously) from Meadows, but I think he's probably been chewed out for it.

Bit of an outlier. Average it with everything else and you don't see much. Maybe a small bump.

State polls are important, and state polls in PA are showing a pretty stable/healthy 7 point lead. Not good for Trump.
