bit harsh imo. mendy and silva are very good friends and joke like this all the time from what ive read. maybe he should have sent a privite message and not posted it where he did. me and my black mates have banter like this all the time. when he comes to my house my dogs bark at him and i tell him they know he is after robbing my tv. i go to his BBQ and he says at the top of his voice the white people are here dont let them cook and keep them off the dance floor good banter between good mates.RealGunner wrote:So Bernardo Silva could be banned for 6 games...

If Mendy doesn't have an issue with it, i don't particularly see why anyone else should.

Very two faced of Sterling
Complains all the time that England has not progressed but has no problem with what Silva said
Yh gtfo
Also if Mendy has np problems with it, fine, but say it in private not on a platform where everyone can hear what he says. Footballers are so uneducated it's unreal

after that we play Astonvilla before playing City in the league at home in November. It will be damn interesting to see how the table shapes up. It is possible that till the city game comes, our lead might even vanish; considering City dont play any team among big 6. So it will be hell of a fixture

Silva should honestly be banned for life. Or at minimum, all fixtures vs Man United IMO.
Pool still grinding out wins while looking like shit. Hate to see it. No excuses.

Vardy remains an underrated English striker.
He had the backlash of all the exposure of being the man to drive Leicester to the title after a weaker year after but has been superb ever since.
Just is everywhere on the pitch, brings the ball to zone entry's beautifully and has two perfectly ambidextrous feet.
Will do down as a cult icon when gone.
5 goals in 5 games this season.

Agreed. Brucie is basically the best manager they've had since Robson so they are in good hands and a team like his are bound to face such challenges such as this, this early in the season.

If he had joined Arsenal in 2016 instead of staying with Leicester, he probably wouldn't be underrated.
It's like Di Natale. Scoring all those goals seems less remarkable when it's not for a top club, which is daft but unfortunately the reality behind how players are assessed.

Two sides to that as it is.
Some are big fish in small ponds who choose to remain that way because they know they will be exposed around the greater competition, expectations and pressures of a higher club and countless examples of that.
Some are elevated within those spheres when they make the jump.
The latter are the ones who perform in those small ponds when it truly matters and in situations to which top clubs with elite players do not face.
Di Natale was the latter for years and so was Vardy hence why I rate them so highly.
LCFC suits Vardy as it is and an Arsenal move may not have worked given the transition point your club is undergoing.

I was going to ask about Vardy. It puzzled me that while 2-3 players made big money switch why was he left behind. So you suppose he stayed on his own account rather than Leicester unwilling to sell?

He had a release clause, which Arsenal reported activated. He just chose to stay.
Leicester were the Champions at the time, which probably helped his decision.

Only Liverpool and Manchester City boast a better Premier League record than Leicester since the end of February, when Rodgers was appointed.
The Foxes have won 31 points in that time, compared with leaders Liverpool's 49 and Manchester City's 43.
